Job Summary: To inspire and prepare each and every scholar with the confidence, courage, and competence to achieve their dreams; contribute to community; and engage in a lifetime of learning. Provide instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed; make appropriate and equitable use of instructional resources and technologies; implement the goals and objectives of the district, school and/or program for which employed; maintain contact and communication with guardians/caregivers of scholars, working with them in the development of their scholar; design, deliver, and assess curriculum according to district guidelines; provide in-person, synchronous and asynchronous learning when applicable and work collaboratively with others. Willing to participate in district and building leadership activities.

Classroom Teacher

Minimum qualifications include:     Bachelor’s Degree required
MN teaching license in appropriate field, OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
If not currently licensed, must be willing and eligible to apply for and receive a Tier 1 or 2.*

Preferred qualifications include:      exhibit excellence in collaboration with colleagues and an enthusiasm to work with a diverse group of staff and students
demonstrated qualifications include: commitment to the equitable education of all students; creative planning and organizational skills, and highly effective interpersonal skills
excellent classroom management, PBIS, PBL and Thinking Maps
work in partnership with staff to continuously improve practices to enhance student and family engagement, creating the conditions for equity, excellence and student success; and
all assigned classroom duties and responsibilities, which will include: implementation of curriculum, assessing student progress, aligning assessment w/ instruction, responding to students w/ personalized learning opportunities, communicating with parents, managing the classroom, and working collaboratively with colleagues

High School Spec. Ed. Paraprofessional

Chatfield Public Schools has an opening for an High School Paraprofessional for the 2023-2024 school year. This position works under the direct supervision of a certified staff member assisting students in the classroom to meet instructional goals and objectives.  The focus of this position will be in the area of Special Ed. program.  Other duties could include lunch and recess supervision, crossing guard, and other duties to support student learning.

EL TEACHER – 1.0 FTE

Job Description: EL Teacher 1.0 FTE –  EL Teacher to work as a part of our Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.  This position commences immediately upon hire.

Job Duties:
Manage some of the 6-8th grade dual identified EL/SPED caseload, as needed.Teach EL classes, as needed (levels 2.5-3.5).
Co-teaching in 6-8th grade math classes
Bilingual preferred but not necessary.
Work with the department chair to plan and implement new learning and strategies.
Build positive relationships with students and families.
Collaborate with content area teachers positively and effectively.
Work with literacy coaches to educate content area teachers on best-practices for ELs in the mainstream.
