Job Description:   School Social Worker, 1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute at the Faribault High School.  Provides developmental and supportive counseling services to students. Consults with teachers and administrators to assist in developing interventions and alternatives to facilitate student’s academic performance and emotional adjustment. Liaison between school and home to ensure appropriate transition of students. This position commences immediately upon hire and goes through the end of the school year.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

1.0 FTE EL Teacher – Lincoln Elementary School.

Job Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School.  We are looking for someone to work as part of our Lincoln Elementary EL  team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.  This position commences on as soon as possible.

Job Duties:Teach EL classes, as needed (levels 2.5-3.5).
Teach Recently Arrived English Learners in grades 2-5.
Co-teaching in mainstream classes.
Bilingual preferred but not necessary.
Work with the EL department to plan and implement new learning and strategies.
Build positive relationships with students and families.
Collaborate with mainstream teachers positively and effectively.
Work with literacy coaches to educate mainstream teachers on best-practices for ELs in the mainstream.

1.0 FTE EL Teacher – Long Term Substitute

Job Description:  1.0 FTE Long Term Substitute EL Teacher – Roosevelt.  The ESL teacher will be working with students at the elementary level. The teacher will be providing English language development instruction to students who are emerging multilingual learners. The teacher will be working with students at various levels of English proficiency and in different instructional modalities. The teacher will be running basic language development classes for lower leveled students, and doing a combination of pushing and co-teaching for higher leveled students. The teacher is expected to collaborate with the grade level content teachers to support the development of multilingual learners in their most advantageous learning environment. This position begins immediately upon hire.

Classroom Teacher

Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree required
MN teaching license in Science 5-8, OR a valid MN teaching license in another field and willing to obtain an Out of Field Permission.*
