Position Summary:

The Resource Specialist will provide training, consultation and support to teachers, instructional staff, administrators and school-based leadership teams to facilitate the implementation of System of Supports at the school level. This role will work collaboratively with Academics and Accountability. This role is to support staff and involves direct student contact and coordinating with families.  Responsibilities include directly supporting all learners, with an emphasis of those learners identified as needing direct and indirect support as a result of learning loss caused by the Covid19 pandemic.

Qualifications:

Must hold appropriate Minnesota teaching license

QUALIFICATIONS:
-Must be a licensed teacher with the State of Minnesota and hold a science licensure, preference given to individuals with a Chemistry license.
-Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
-Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
-Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
-Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

District 518 is offering up to a $5,000 hiring incentive for teaching positions in which an individual is new to our School District.  Current open positions will see a minimum of $2,000 incentive for joining our District and joining our team.

Worthington Middle School needs a Science teacher for grades 7-8.  Applicants must be licensed to teach Science in the state of Minnesota, or be able to attain that status.  Applicants should have experience: working in a team environment, working with a diverse student population, and have a strong understanding of differentiation and intervention. Candidates should also have knowledge of the use of iPads in the classroom.
