CENTENNIAL MIDDLE SCHOOL

SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER- EBD Licensed
1.0 FTE – Centennial Middle School- Starting August 21, 2023
183 Workdays 7:25 AM – 3:25 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must hold a valid special education teaching license, preference given to those with EBD license with the State of Minnesota or ability to be licensed.
Teachers must be able to demonstrate the highest commitment to student achievement and effective development.
Teachers must have the willingness to adapt to becoming part of a total school effort in educating our students.
Teachers must have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with other staff members, students and parents in providing and promoting positive relationships.
Teachers must be of the highest integrity with a strong commitment to modeling excellence in all aspects of the teacher/student/parent relationships.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

WAGES:
Candidates will be placed on the teacher contract and will receive benefits according to the CEA
contract.

ALC Teacher

East Central School District is seeking a Teacher to work in our Alternative Learning Center starting the 2023-24 school year.  This is a separate facility located on our main campus.

Responsibilities include providing alternative education for approximately 30 students.  ALC Teacher will work collaboratively with ALC Team and administration to offer quality alternative education.

Middle School Teacher – Special Education DCD

Essential Functions:

Deliver classroom instruction; implement lesson plans on instructional units; develop and determine methods, approaches and instructional units; maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.

Assess and evaluate student performance against lesson plans; determine the need for re-instruction or need for new approach; reinforce information previously taught in the classroom; determine grades for reporting purposes; monitor student performance and behaviors and determine how to approach bad behaviors.

Develop and plan instructional activities; develop and implement lesson plans personalized for individual student needs; assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs); implement student assessments and evaluate results; determine assessment process for instructional units; research topics and materials designed to improve instructional presentations.

Prepare for substitute teachers; communicate with parents and participate in parent/student conferences; participate and prepare for peer evaluation process.

Supervise students during the school day according to the established building schedule; provide indirect supervision during regular school days.

Collaborate with staff in evaluating individual student issues and approaches to instructional units; evaluate new teaching technologies and/or procedures.

Participate in meetings (building staff meetings, departmental meetings, grade level meetings, staff development, open house/orientation) as necessary or required; attend professional development activities.

Class III Secretary/Administrative Assistant

Worthington District 518 Community Education is seeking to hire a full-time Class III Administrative Secretary.  This position provides administrative support to the Community Education Director and all Community Education departments.  Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and Google Suite. The following qualities are necessary: detail-oriented, strong problem solving skills, ability to work independently, ability to multi-task on a daily basis, solid math skills, and excellent communications skills. Agricultural Education Teacher

Location / Facilities / Partnerships:

Located in historic Stillwater in the scenic St. Croix River Valley.
Recently fully remodeled classroom / lab (1,670 sf); Aquatics lab (580 sf); Greenhouse (900 sf); Headhouse (300 sf); and prep area (220 sf).
40 acre Environmental Learning Center adjacent to the high school site with forests, ponds, and prairies.
Partnerships with Brown’s Creek Watershed and MN Trout Unlimited with access to Brown’s Creeks (4 miles) for stream sampling and trout stocking.

Elementary Cheer Coach

Season Dates: 
 
October 2023-January 2024 – 1 evening practice a week in from October to late January with 2-3 competition dates.  Additional Friday practices added in December and January for competition prep.

Job Responsibilities:
1.    Provide leadership and guidance for all cheer participants.
2.    Attend and coach practices, weekend competitions, and community events.
3.    Collaborate with assistant coaches to organize, set – up, and ensure a safe practice or competition.
4.    Help all participants to develop to their full potential.
5.    Implement age appropriate program philosophies, goals, policy and procedures.
7.    Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
8.    Promote sportsmanship and respect for judges, teams, parents, fans, athletes, administrators and fellow competitors.

 

Job Qualifications
1.    Complete concussion training as required by law.
2.    Prior experience in cheer is required.
3.    Evidence of successful coaching experience; ability to teach fundamental skills.
4.    Positive, enthusiastic, respectful attitude
5.    Strong communication skills.
6.    Proven ability to work with students, parents, and staff.
7.    Commitment to program’s high standards
8.    Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
9.    AACCA completion is preferred

 

Payment:
$18- $20 per hour.  Stipends for competitions
