Worthington Middle School is seeking an Academic Behavioral Strategist (ABS) or Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) or Specific Learning Disability (SLD) Teacher to join our Special Education Department.  The candidate should have a current ABS, EBD, or SLD Special Education license in the state of Minnesota (or be actively pursuing such licensure.)  Applicants should be patient and kind; understand case management, IEP development, knowledge of systematic academic and behavior interventions and be willing to be trained on Sped Forms.  Experience with iPads in the classroom would be beneficial.

1.0 FTE EL TEACHER – Middle School

1.0 FTE EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our EL Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.  This position commences on Monday, January 16, 2023.

Qualifications:  Ability to work with a team.  Ability to design individual programming and accommodations for students with disabilities.  Excellent communication and organizational skills. All candidates will be considered.

Job Duties:

Manage the 8th grade dual identified EL/SPED caseload.
Teach two 8th grade EL classes (levels 2.5-3.5).
Co-teaching in 8th grade math classes
Bilingualism preferred but not necessary.
Work with the department chair to plan and implement new learning and strategies.
Build positive relationships with students and families.
Collaborate with content area teachers positively and effectively.
Work with literacy coaches to educate content area teachers on best-practices for ELs in the mainstream.

Industrial Technology Teacher (2023-2024 School Year)

Position Summary:
Owatonna High School is opening a newly constructed high school with state of the art learning spaces for Industrial Technology. We are looking for a teacher to provide instruction to students in grades 9-12 in the area of Industrial Technology Education and work in collaboration with Agriculture teachers to promote our career pathways program connecting students to essential careers in Industrial Technology. Strong background in using data to drive instruction, working in collaboration with department members through a PLC model, and strong content knowledge desired.

Qualifications:
Valid MN teaching license in Industrial Arts/Technology Education or related field.
