This is a full time, 6th grade, position at Bemidji Middle School beginning November 10, 2022 through approximately February 10, 2023. Special Education Paraprofessional- 7.5 hrs/day
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, supervision of students indoors and/or out of doors, tutoring students under the direct supervision of a teacher, general classroom clerical support, and support lunch. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma required.
Demonstrated aptitude and competence for assigned responsibilities.

WAGES: $16.37 per hour

Director of Administrative and Business Services
Purpose Statement
The job of the Director of Administrative and Business Services is done for the purpose/s of providing support to SEE (Schools for Equity in Education) with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating, and reconciling of fiscal information with a focus on payroll, accounts receivable; and generating periodic reports in accordance with established financial practices.
Essential Functions
● Perform a full range of accounts payable record keeping and processing such as consultant fees, mileage and conference payments and reimbursements and payment of purchase order acquisitions of supplies, equipment or bills for services using Quickbooks or other adopted and updated accounting software.
● Upon approval of employee contracts, coordinates and processes payroll including setting up direct deposit; develops individual employee contracts; collects, calculates and enters employee information into system; prepares and issues direct deposit notifications; prepares reports and required forms for FICA, state and federal taxes and annual reports for payroll; produces W-2 forms.
● Prepares, posts, verifies, records and deposits and transactions from a variety of sources (e.g. membership dues and other sources of revenue) for ensuring prompt and accurate processing of payments using appropriate budget codes.
● Complete and file timely payroll returns and monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by the IRS and state and make the necessary deposits for state and federal withholding, and state and federal unemployment tax.
● Arrange for, and secure all appropriate insurance coverage.
● Reconcile financial data such as monthly bank statements for maintaining accurate account balances and ensuring compliance with established accounting practices and prepare monthly financial reports.
● Prepare reports for Campaign Finance & Public Disclosure Board, Office of the Legislative Auditor and other state agencies, and file required reports.
● Prepare financial budget reports for consideration by SEE board based on membership goals and expenses; predict budget needs for the future.
● Prepare financial and other required information for the auditor to complete annual audit and file required federal and state tax forms.
● Attend and participate in various SEE general membership, regional, committee and Executive Board meetings as required by the Executive Director.
● Performs other related duties as assigned for ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
Requirements knowledge, skills and abilities
1. Experience with various accounting software; Quickbooks experience preferred.
2. Business manager or comparable management experience.
3. Knowledgeable and skilled in using technology, e.g., email, social media, video conferencing, etc.
4. Ability to work and familiarity with public sector agencies, e.g., legislative bodies, school districts.
Work Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and
significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 98% sitting, 1% walking, and 1% standing. The job is performed in a generally hazard free environment and in a clean atmosphere. The selected candidate will work remotely with the exception of formal meetings and as determined by the Executive Director.
Compensation & Benefits
The position is a 0.25 FTE. Salary compliments skills, compensation and qualifications and will be competitive.

Assistant Principal – Oltman Middle School
Position Summary:
Assist the building principal in performing instructional leadership and management of the educational program to maximize student learning. Assist with managing, evaluating and supervising effective and clear procedures for the operation and functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values, goals and strategic plan of the school district. This includes instructional programs, co-curricular activities, and student management systems to ensure a safe and orderly climate, building maintenance, program evaluation, personnel management, office operations and emergency procedures.
Primary Job Functions:
- Assist the principal in the overall operation of the school and serve as a building instructional leader.
- Support a school culture focused on learning and continuous improvement.
- Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and personal responsibility.
- Assist with developing and administering annual master schedule for instructional programs, ensuring sequential learning experiences for all students.
- Continually monitor student progress and outcomes. Work with staff to improve student learning and achievement.
- Establish and maintain effective communication and public relations with staff, students, parents and community members through all programs and activities.
- Assist in preparing and managing budget for the building, maintain accurate budgetary records as required by district policies and procedures.
- Support creating a high performing staff through effective hiring and evaluation systems. Develop, coach, train, mentor and manage staff as directed.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, school board policies and school district procedures.
- Assist with supervising the instructional programs of the school on a regular basis to ensure the use of effective instructional strategies, content and materials consistent with research on learning, student growth and development.
- Ensure a safe, orderly environment that encourages staff and students to take responsibility for behavior and creates high morale among staff and students.
- Establish a professional rapport with students and staff. Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel. Serve as a role model.
- Participate in professional development workshops, activities and seminars.
