Position Start Date: ASAP

Days/Hours:  Monday – Friday; Varies 1:45pm/2:45pm until 10:15pm/11:15pm

Banded/Graded:  A-1-3

Salary:  $20.96/hr + $0.35/hr shift differential

 

Responsible to:  Director of Buildings & Grounds

 

Position Purpose:  Under general supervision, perform cleaning tasks and operation of various types of cleaning equipment to care for and maintain assigned buildings and related facilities.

Qualifications/Physical Requirements:

Lift 70 lbs waist height occasionally
Lift 50 lbs to chest high regularly
Extended walking
Ability to work with cleaning chemicals
Must be in good general health
Previous experience in cleaning and building maintenance
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  This position is posted as a full-time (40 hrs/week), twelve (12) month position.  Starting salary for such position is $20.96/hour + $0.35/hr shift differential.  In addition, the pay includes an additional $0.10/hr for each level of boilers license when licenses are obtained.  Eligibile for benefits as negotiated with Union Local 70 and District 112.  This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.

Responsibilities:Position provides instruction and support in the curriculum areas for which employed;
make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies.
Implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program for
which employed.
Write and implement individual student goals and objectives.
Evaluate student performance according to the goals and objectives on the Individual
Educational Plan (IEP) used by School District; promote student achievement; maintain
required student records; make related reports to the principal as prescribed or
authorized by the superintendent.
Maintain contact and communications with parents of students and work with them in the
development of each student.
Perform classroom management duties; enforce District rules governing the conduct.
Understand and be able to implement due process guidelines following state and federal rules, regulations and District policy.
Required Qualifications: A valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education

Considerable knowledge of the curriculum areas the teacher is responsible for instructing.
Considerable knowledge of educational philosophy, teaching methods and approaches, current researched best practices and strategies.
Considerable knowledge of students’ learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
Considerable knowledge of multicultural, gender and disability fair curriculum concepts.
Working knowledge of instructional technologies.
Considerable skill in classroom management and organization.
Ability to effectively facilitate and/or participate in team meetings and parent meetings.

Summary of Position(s):
These Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)  or Certified Medical Specialists preferred to serve as the subject matter expert in general health related areas in the educational school setting.  LPN’s working for Faribault Public Schools provide care to students with health needs, refer students to outside providers and assist with screenings and prevention of communicable diseases. The positions commence on approximately 8/29/22 with the start of the 22-23 school year. LPN’s are employed full-time for 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week between late August and early June; serving multiple health offices within Faribault Public Schools. Additional summer opportunities are available.
