The New London-Spicer School District’s main office is located in New London, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 1,524 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The New London-Spicer School Board seeks a superintendent who:

  • Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community
  • Has experience in school finance

Previous superintendent experience preferred, but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A comprehensive compensation package will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

-Must be a licensed teacher with the State of Minnesota with Art/Fine Arts license.

POSITION:
Lead Administrative Assistant – Centennial Elementary – 8 hours per day – 7:45 AM to 3:45 PM
214 days per year (includes 9 paid holidays) – beginning August, 2022.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Greets all visitors courteously, determines their needs, checks appointments and directs or escorts them to the appropriate person.
Receives and routes incoming communications.
Manages daily attendance reporting.
Prepares documents for the school such as: faculty handbook, parent/student handbook, school maps, school newsletters, and calendar of school events.
Provides administrative clerical support services.
Maintains an effective communications retrieval system.
Maintains and monitors the release of student records.
Performs such other tasks consistent with the position as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post high school training required with business and finance experience preferred.
Successful experience in an office setting required.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all school dealings.
Proven success in keyboarding and computer software required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work as a positive contributing member of an office team.
Proven, successful experience working with minimal supervision accompanied by successful problem-solving skills.
Proven, successful experience relating well to school-aged youth as well as to adults.
Ability to multi-task in a high energy environment.

WAGES/BENEFITS:
As per the current Administrative Assistant/Clerical master agreement. Paid benefit package.
