Job Description:
To provide and oversee health services for the Early Childhood Programs including, but not limited to: provide first aid and emergency care in case of injury, develop and implement individual health care plans for students, inform teachers and staff regarding medical issues that may affect their work, administer prescribed medication to students according to policy, and monitor student immunizations. Act as the Early Childhood Screening Coordinator by overseeing the screening program, and guiding the screener.
Hours per week: 32.5      Days per week: M-F      Weeks per year: 40

Job Description:   Full-Time (1.0 FTE) School Counselor at the Faribault Middle School.  This position commences with the 2022-23 school year on August 22, 2022.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. Edina Public Schools is seeking a progressive and collaborative-minded professional for the position of Director of Student Support Services.  With the focus to support and advance the school district’s mission, vision, and core values, the Director of Student Support Services directs, develops, and provides leadership for student support services across the school district. The Director of Student Support Services has overall responsibility for the administration of services to students within the programs of Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, and Health Services.

Essential Duties of the Position Include:

Leadership and Planning: Interprets and supervises the implementation of district policies and its mission, provides leadership and direction in the planning, implementation, development, organization, growth, and evaluation of the following services: co-facilitate the district-wide intervention program, heath services, nonpublic schools, homebound services. Oversees reports required by supervisors and state anad federal agencies and the Special Education Strategic Growth and Change Process. Partners with families, community, and staff to ensure a unified approach to special services delivery.

Employee Development: Facilitates special services employee evaluation and coaching, assists in setting and helping employees meet growth goals, oversees the hiring and supervision of special services employees, licensed and non-licensed.

Communication: Assists in maintaining an environment that encourages parental interactions for all students, and communication among all programs in special services.
