Salary range:  $110,000-$120,000

Job Summary:  Leads and manages the operation of the elementary school, grades PreK-6.  Supervises all certified and non-certified staff, provides instructional and curriuculm leadership, plans and conducts communications with the school board, parents, faculty, staff and students.  Develops sound operational philosophy, implements research-based educational strategies and prepares required documentation.

Major Areas of Accountability:
Students

Assists in developing methods for evaluating students’ progress toward educational goals.
Maintains a system for reporting pupil progress to parents.
Maintains a student centered philosophy of education and considers welfare of the student as a paramount responsibility.
Directs elementary special education program and participates in staffings for special education students.
Directs the coordination of the Title 1 program and ADSIS.

Staff
Designs and implements a system for the observation, supervision and evaluation of school personnel.
Promotes staff morale and demonstrates a committment to professional growth including the planning of in-service and other professional growth activities for staff members.
Participates in and honors the leadership team process.
Assumes major responsibility in the recruiting, screening, hiring and assigning of professional and non-professional elementary personnel.
Oversees obtaining substitute teachers and paraprofessionals for the elementary school.

Administration
Develops student and faculty handbooks and manuals.
Works with the Director of Teaching and Learning to recommend to the Superintendent curriculum and courses of study for the elementary school.
Oversees pupil registrations, class loads and such phases of pupil accounting as are considered essential and develops and guides an acceptable program of guidance, counseling and testing.
Prepares and monitors program budgets for the allocation of the resources of the elementary school in cooperation with the Business Manager.
Approves requisitions for supplies and equipment for all elementary departments.
Makes recommendations regarding the selection of textbooks and other instructional materials.
Administers safety and security procedures for the building, equipment, grounds and transportation related to the elementary school.
Participates in the planning and supervision of fire drills, emergency preparedness program and all other school crisis and civil incidents, providing for the safety and well being of students and staff.
Plans, conducts and attends meetings with students, staff, parents, school board and community members.
Supervises the submission of federal, state and district office reports, acknowledging and adhering to statutes and school district policies.
Makes periodic reports to the Superintendent containing pertinent information relative to school activities, school progress, school discipline, personnel reports, etc.
Prepares reports and presents to the school board as requested by the Superintendent.
Implements negotiated contracts, as necessary.
Maintains professional growth through workshops, seminars, conferences and professional readings.
Serves as liaison between school, staff, students and the community interpreting school district policy and responding to written, telephone and personal requests for information from all district clients.

Experience
Administrative experience preferred but not required.

Position Summary:
The Executive Director of Operations is responsible to set vision, provide leadership and ensure continuous improvement of Nutritional Services, Transportation, and Buildings and Grounds  departments of the school district in alignment with the mission and strategic plan of the organization. As a member of the Superintendent’s executive leadership team and cabinet, the Executive Director of Operations is responsible to support the overall leadership of the district and to oversee the effective management of these essential operational departments. The Executive Director will support facilities management and the efficient operations of the district including school safety, emergency planning and crisis management and partnerships with local law enforcement agencies.

Executive Level Leadership

Department Administration
Supervise the financial and operational performance of the district’s transportation, nutritional services, buildings and grounds departments and school safety plans, including the following:
Facilities: Responsible for planning, renovation, remodeling and maintenance of all district facilities
Transportation: Responsible for the transportation of eligible students to and from school
Nutrition Services: Responsible for the planning and preparation of meals and the food service throughout the district
Security and Emergency Management: Responsible for implementing and evaluating safety-related services, personnel and equipment and partnership relationships with local law enforcement agencies
Print, Copy, Mail: Responsible for the systems related to the creation, distribution and records retention of printed materials for the school district
Oversee the development and implementation of meaningful systems for supervision of Building and Grounds, Nutritional Services, Transportation and Health and Safety personnel including forecasting needs, recruiting, interviewing and recommending for hire; staff development, observation, discipline, and interpreting the negotiated agreements, district policies, and building rules
Prepare and administer the operational department budgets for the Transportation, Nutritional Services, and Buildings and Grounds departments.
Coordinate the district’s ten-year long-term facilities maintenance plan and budgets in collaboration with the Executive Director of Finance and Business Services.
Work with architects and construction managers on construction projects to ensure budget and schedule are adhered to.
Coordinate with operational department supervisors to research best practices and develop and implement processes for the operational departments to improve effectiveness and service; assess the effectiveness of current operations and make changes to improve as needed.
Supervise and support long-range facilities planning, including new construction, remodeling or existing facilities and provide project management and oversight.
Ensure strategic integration of interdepartmental functions.
Facilitate the collaboration of instructional and operational teams to transform the vision into specific goals, objectives, measurements, and action plans.
Develop sound practices that guide and inform the organization in risk management and risk mitigation strategies in support of business and instructional initiatives.
Direct crisis planning and emergency response protocols for the school district.
Partner with the Executive Director of Human Resources in maintaining and sharing data with local law enforcement agencies pursuant to data requests.
Provide support and consultation regarding records storage and retention.

Purpose of Position: The primary responsibility of our Theatre Program Director is to develop and implement a comprehensive theatre arts program that fosters creativity, collaboration, and a love of performance in students. This individual will teach theatre-related courses, direct school productions, and contribute to the overall artistic and educational vision of the school’s performing arts department. This person will bring passion and experience to provide a strong background in theater productions, acting, and technical theatre.

Representative Responsibilities:

1.     Instruction and Curriculum Development:

  • Develop and teach a variety of theatre courses, including but not limited to Acting, Theatre Arts, Stagecraft, Musical Theatre, and Theatre History.

  • Partner with local theatre organizations, universities, and professionals to provide additional learning opportunities for students.
  • Promote theatre events through social media, school newsletters, and community outreach.
  • Involve parents, alumni, and local businesses in supporting theatre productions and fundraising efforts.

4.     Technical Theatre and Production Management:

  • Supervise set design, lighting, sound, costumes, and props, ensuring a well-rounded and educational experience for students interested in technical theatre.
