Position Overview
Falls High School is seeking a creative and student-centered High School Art Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are looking for an educator who values artistic expression, thoughtful course design, and building strong relationships with students.

A Minnesota high school art teaching license is preferred; however, the district will consider a qualified community expert with relevant professional experience and a strong interest in working with high school students.

Qualifications
●     Minnesota teaching license in Visual Arts (5–12) preferred

 

●     Community experts with significant professional experience in the arts may be considered

 

●     Strong knowledge of visual art practices, techniques, and media

 

●     Ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of learners

 

●     Commitment to high expectations for students and professional practice

 

●     Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a positive school culture

 

Responsibilities
●     Teach high school visual arts courses aligned with state standards

 

●     Design engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate art instruction

 

●     Be thoughtful and intentional in both the development of new courses and the ongoing refinement of existing offerings

 

●     Foster creativity, risk-taking, and student voice through meaningful art experiences

 

●     Support student engagement, retention, and success through strong relationships and high-quality instruction

 

●     Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional learning

Preschool Assistant Teacher, Long-Term Substitute

Barnum Public Schools is looking for a long-term substitute to fill an Assistant Preschool Teacher position for an approximate 3-month leave of absence beginning early March. This is for our 4-5 year old morning and afternoon preschool classes, Monday – Thursday, per the school calendar. We value both indoor and outdoor learning so this person will spend time outdoors when weather permits.

High School Math Teacher, Long-Term Substitute

SALARY/CONTRACT: A competitive compensation and benefits package, with a starting salary range of $125,000 – $160,000, will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute. Additional benefits available may include Health, Life, and Long-term disability insurance; 403(b) match; and more.

The Mountain Iron – Buhl district has an approximate enrollment of 600 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.
