A full-time (1.00 FTEs) position as Dean of Students (TOSA) is available at the Area Learning Center beginning with the 2024-25 school year.

Summary of Duties: 
This position will assist the Principal in leading the school’s educational and instructional programs, operations, personnel, and community partnerships  to ensure the educational, emotional, social and physical needs of all students.  The candidate selected for this position will work with the principal and other support staff in order to build positive relationships with students, families, staff and community members, coordinate inside and outside of school experiential learning, create systems and structures to accelerate credit acquisition in areas of deficiency, collaborate and communicate effectively, and provide innovative leadership through educational offering of Central High School.  This position is based on the teacher contract with additional duty days.

Qualifications Required:
Administrative licensure or enrollment in a graduate program that will result in administrative licensure is preferred.

Position Description

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (GFW) Public Schools is seeking an interim Superintendent as of July 16, 2024 for the 2024-2025 school year.  Candidates must possess licensure as a Superintendent in the State of Minnesota or demonstrate their ability to secure licensure by July 16, 2024. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but not required.

The GFW Schools Office is located in Gibbon, Minnesota approximately 65 miles southwest of Eden Prairie. The GFW School District serves the communities of Gibbon, Fairfax and Winthrop.  It serves approximately 615 students in PreK-12th grade programs.

 

Job Requirements

a. Manage school district operations to include leadership over multiple buildings.

b. Provide solid day to day management of financial and personnel resources

c. Strong communication skills

d. Understanding of school finance

e. Ability to lead teams and groups of people for the future planning of GFW Schools

f. Construction/Project oversight
