Behavioral Health Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our team.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in successfully managing state and federal grants, demonstrating a deep understanding of grant regulations, compliance requirements, and reporting procedures.  Additionally, we are looking for someone with exceptional data analysis skills, capable of extracting meaningful insights from complex datasets to inform strategic decision-making and program evaluation.

General Definition of Work: The Behavioral Health Coordinator will support the operations of the leadership team to carry out the services of students, staff and families mental health support structures within our educational organization. The Coordinator is a key member of the district with responsibilities to serve as a professional department leader by  assessing needs, plan for implementation of initiatives, coordinate curriculum and services and monitor for consistency and efficiency. Building internal relationships and community partnerships to ensure the district has ample resources to support students, families and staff needs.

Essential Functions:

  1. Collaborate with, coach and train staff, families and students on developmentally appropriate and culturally affirming social emotional learning (SEL) programs.
  2. Research and provide professional learning opportunities that build educator capacity to promote SEL and create brave, inclusive learning environments for all students.
  3. Integrate and maintain support systems across school, family, and community.
  4. Manage and train on data systems that inform student, educator, and families to support continuous improvement of student outcomes and experiences.
  5. Seek out and apply for grants to support mental health efforts, initiatives and curriculum.
  6. Research and train staff on best practice equity centered discipline practices supporting restorative practices and reducing disproportionally.
  7. Serve as the key leadership member on Trauma Informed Practices; lead professional development and coaching opportunities.
  8. Coordinate with the buildings and county/state on services and data management for homelessness, foster care, families in transition (FIT), attendance, and truancy.
  9. Support the district chemical health initiatives, policies and grants; and teaching and learning practices, in coordination with staff and county/city/state representatives.
  10. Serve as the district representative on the Rice County Family Services Collaborative Governing Board Representative; maintain relationships and be the voice of Faribault Public Schools.
  11. Support the mental health services team providing professional development opportunities and leading the team in all district mental health goals.
  12. Handles and leads crisis situations when necessary.
    Support district staff and student well being; serve as chair of the Wellness Committee and Co-Chair of the
  13. District Mental Health Committee.
  14. Other duties as assigned

Compensation & Benefits
Salary compliments skills, experience and qualification with a 230 day contract range of approximately $98,653. 1st Grade Teacher — Lincoln Elementary

Essential Functions: A full-time (1.0 FTE) First Grade Teacher at Lincoln Elementary School. Performs professional work providing a broad range of teaching services within our elementary school, assisting students to develop skills, attitudes and learning methods at various levels to a targeted audience.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Must have the ability to work as a team in planning and teaching with an emphasis on differentiating instruction and using assessments effectively. Must use the Responsive Classroom approach consistently by conducting regular class meetings, supportive exchanges and clear expectations. Collaboration with grade level team, special education team and specialists to develop a positive learning environment. Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents. Support and follow School Board policies and procedures. Be a positive and contributing member of our professional community.

Caledonia Area Public Schools is currently accepting applications for multiple paraprofessional positions to support student success in both Special Education and ADSIS (Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Services) programs. These are K–12 positions, with current openings at the elementary level.

Position Overview:
Paraprofessionals will work under the direction of licensed teachers and service providers to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students. Responsibilities may include individual or small-group instruction, behavior support, and assistance with personal care or mobility, depending on student needs.

Essential Duties:

Assist in the implementation of instructional and/or behavioral plans
Support students in general and special education settings
Monitor and document student progress as directed
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and other staff
Provide supervision and support during transitions, recess, and lunch as assigned

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Must meet Minnesota paraprofessional qualification standards
Candidates must have completed 60 semester credits or obtained an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited institution or have passed the ParaEducator exam or ParaPro exam. (Documentation will be required)
The district will provide support for individuals needing to complete the paraprofessional assessment
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

School Social Worker

Job Description:  School Social Worker, 1.0 FTE at Lincoln Elementary.  Provides developmental and supportive counseling services to elementary aged students. Consults with teachers and administrators to assist in developing interventions and alternatives to facilitate student’s academic performance and emotional adjustment. Liaison between school and home to ensure appropriate transition of students. This position commences on approximately 8/25/25 with the start of the 25-26 school year.

Qualifications: Valid licensure and credentials expected. Successful experience working as a social worker in a school with at-risk students setting is highly desirable.

Dean of Students and Activities Director

General Definition of Work:

The Dean of Students plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment by overseeing student conduct, promoting character development, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students. This position requires a dynamic leader who can effectively manage student behavior, implement restorative practices, work within the PBIS framework, and collaborate with staff, students, and families to support academic success and a thriving school community. The Dean of Students also serves as the Activities Director, overseeing extracurricular programs. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Principal. This position will begin immediately upon hire.

Essential Functions:

  •  Work alongside administrative team, staff, and families to develop, implement, and support school-wide behavior expectations and policies using the principles of Restorative Practices and the PBIS framework
  • Manage and resolve student conflicts and behavior challenges in accordance with school and district guidelines..
  • Utilize and promote restorative practices and facilitate restorative chats to address behavioral incidents and foster positive relationships.
  • Collaborate with staff to integrate Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior and character learning interventions
  • Work with the administrative team, staff, students, and families to develop and implement individualized behavior plans when necessary.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school emergency procedures and safety protocols and manage emergency situations involving students.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with families regarding student behavior, progress, and school events.
  • Actively support and promote family integration into the FMS school day, encouraging participation and collaboration.
  • Oversee and coordinate all extracurricular activities, clubs, and events.
  • Promote student participation and engagement in a wide range of extracurricular opportunities.
  • Manage budgets and resources for student activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant rules and regulations for school activities.
