LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The La Crescent-Hokah School Board seeks a superintendent with strong leadership skills in:

SALARY/CONTRACT: A competitive compensation and benefits package, with a starting salary range of $145,000 – $165,000, will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute. Additional benefits available may include Health, Dental, Life, and LTD insurances; VEBA HRA contribution, and 403(b) contribution.

Payroll and Benefits Specialist

Position Summary:
Administer district-wide employee total compensation programs and maintain accurate accounting of payroll and benefits processes within prescribed district parameters.

Position Requirements:
Post-secondary degree/education and considerable experience in business, accounting, human resources, or related field required. Technology proficiency in Google and database management.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of the policies, practices, methods and techniques used in the administrative functions of a school office; thorough knowledge of prescribed school board policies and procedures; thorough knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment and administrative techniques; thorough knowledge of payroll and benefits program administration; thorough knowledge of accounting terminology, methods, theory and principles; thorough skill creating and maintaining various electronic and paper records; thorough skill using personal computers and related software packages, hardware and peripheral equipment; ability to follow detailed instructions; ability to maintain financial records and prepare financial reports; ability to present material effectively orally and in writing; ability to communicate effectively and exchange important information with employees; ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with District and building staff, retirees, vendors, business partners and consultants. Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee information. Excellent organizational and technical skills. Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to work on a team. Demonstrated consistent and reliable attendance.

Schedule:
7:30 am – 4 pm M-F, 260 days/year

Rate of Pay:
C-4-2 // $60,632 – $86,611 annually depending on experience
