ABOUT THE COMMUNITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT:

The Lynd Public School’s main office is located in Lynd, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 170 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Lynd Public School Board seeks a superintendent with strong leadership skills in:

  • Integrity and Ethics: Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the school board, students, staff, and community.
  • Delegation and Accountability: Effectively delegates authority while maintaining accountability for outcomes.
  • Leadership Development: Develops and directs a competent and effective leadership team.
  • Financial Expertise: Possesses experience and knowledge in school finance.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrates strong communication abilities and proven skills in human relations.
  • Board Collaboration: Works cooperatively with the School Board, providing options and informed recommendations.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  A competitive compensation and benefits package, with a starting salary range of $70,000 – $85,000, will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. Contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute. Additional benefits available may include health and dental insurance, ESST, and 403(b) contribution.

Superintendent of Schools

Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop (GFW) Public Schools is seeking a Superintendent as of July 1, 2025.
Candidates must possess licensure as a Superintendent in the State of Minnesota or demonstrate their
ability to secure licensure by July 1, 2025. Previous experience as a superintendent is preferred but not
required.

The GFW Schools Office is located in Gibbon, Minnesota approximately 65 miles southwest of Eden
Prairie. The GFW School District serves the communities of Gibbon, Fairfax and Winthrop. It serves
approximately 590 students in PreK-12th grade programs. There is a new K-12 building under
construction, with the intent to move into the new facility sometime during the 2025-2026 school year.

Business Manager

Under the general supervision of the Superintendent, the Business Manager exists to ensure the assets of the District are properly safeguarded, strategically managed, equitably allocated and accounted for. Responsibilities include managing the recording of all financial transactions with the District to include payroll, accounts payable, and investment of District assets. Further, the Chief Financial Officer provides oversight and organization for the whole of the Business Service Department, including the management of employees within.

Youth Development Leader

Plan and implement out-of-school-time programs in six-member school districts (Adrian, Ellsworth, Fulda, HL-O, RL-B, Worthington). Develop lessons for secondary students that address the following goal areas: academic success, civic engagement, college & career readiness, cultural integration, and leadership development. Utilize bilingual skills to assist students and families to successfully navigate local systems. Work with other NCIC staff members to promote cultural integration and student success in member school districts in accordance with local integration plans.

Paraprofessional, Class II

Job Summary:

Under the direction of licensed special education teacher and/or related services staff, the Special Education Paraprofessional assists one or more students in accomplishing activities of daily living; instrumental activities of daily living, health related functions; redirection and intervention of behavior; and other tasks as are identified within assigned students’ IEPs. Special Education Paraprofessionals may be assigned to work with students who have special healthcare/medical needs, have behavior intervention plans or require other forms of specialized care.  Assists teachers by working with individual students or small groups, and performing related work as assigned.  Work is performed under the supervision of the Teacher and the general direction of the building Principal.

Job Qualification:

Must have a High School Diploma/GED and or College Degree. Or must be able to pass the ParaEducator Assessment upon hire.
