Position Start Date:  2026-2027 School Year (teachers new to the district should be available for the new teacher workshop that takes place August 18 – August 20, 2026)
FTE/Hours:  1.0 FTE; 8:00am – 4:00pm
Responsible To:  Building Principals

Major Job Functions; Specific Tasks/Required Knowledge, Ability and Skills:  See attachment.
Qualifications:  Valid State of Minnesota License in K-12 Music

Salary Range:  $54,153 – $109,599 for a 184-day contract at a 1.0 FTE. Salary will be prorated based on contract days in assignment and FTE, education and experience. Salary and benefits pursuant to the Chaska Education Association (CEA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA).

Responsible To:  Building Principals; Special Education Director/Supervisor

Job Summary:  To support special education staff with due process, facilitate building special education department meetings, coordinate state and local testing accommodations and collect data for district/state requirements, provide professional development for special education staff, be a key contact for special education in buildings and act as key communicator between district and building.

Salary Range:  $53,432 – $108,172 for a 184-day contract at a 1.0 FTE. Salary will be prorated based on contract days in assignment and FTE, education and experience. Salary and benefits pursuant to the Chaska Education Association (CEA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA).

Duration of long term substitute position is subject to change based on the needs of the District. The term of this assignment may be extended or shortened at the discretion of the District, and shall terminate upon the earliest of the following: the return of the Teacher, resignation by the Substitute, or termination of employment by the District.

Middle School Music/Band Teacher – 2026-2027 School Year

Job Summary:

Worthington Middle School is in need of a new Band Teacher for grades 6-8. This position will be the band director for grades 6-8. Music is well supported in our schools as we also have two other band directors, two choir directors, and three orchestra directors. There are two hundred students in the middle school band program. Expectations include, teaching 3 bands, two jazz bands, small group lessons, and one marching band. Applicants must be patient and kind, licensed, or eligible for a license, to teach instrumental and classroom music in the state of Minnesota.
