Speech/Language Pathologist

Job Description:       
Full-time Speech / Language Pathologist.  This position commences on approximately 8/25/25 with the start of the 25-26 school year.

Qualifications:           
Knowledge and experience providing speech/language services to students.  Ability to administer assessments to determine qualification based on Minnesota Criteria for speech/language services.  Ability to write IEP/IFSP goals and keep accurate records.  Knowledge of due process procedures.  Ability to collect, interpret and report data. Excellent communication skills.  Ability to work in a highly collaborative model.  Ability to collaborate with general and special education teachers regarding students’ communication needs..  All candidates will be considered.

Position Purpose: Provide same service to non-public partner school students in grades 7-12 as are available to public school students in Eastern Carver County Schools.  Services include academic guidance, assisting with personal problem solving, and supporting academic, social, and emotional success.

Licensure Requirements:  Valid State of Minnesota licensure in Secondary Guidance and Counseling

Salary:  $52,851 – $104,522 for a 185 day contract @ a 1.0 FTE  (Salary will be prorated based on contract days in assignment and FTE, education, and experience).
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA). Currently under negotiations.

Special Education Paraprofessional

Job Description:         Special Education Paraprofessional position.  This position will be for 7 hours per day 5 days per week to provide support and supervision of level III special needs students with developmental cognitive disabilities at Faribault Middle School.  Approximate rate of pay starts at $21.25.  The position commences on approximately 8/26/25 with the start of the 25-26 school year.

This position will involve substituting in the health office when needed under supervision of the licensed school nurse, to assist in paraprofessional activities related to health office services, to work within the framework of school laws, District policy, and first aid/CPR standards, and to do related work as required. Must have ability to take responsibility for supervising students, speak clearly and distinctly, demonstrate patience, warmth and liking for children, perform routine record keeping duties, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, render preliminary first aid steps, learn and perform specialized health procedures, and maintain District-approved First Aid and CPR Certificates.

Position Start Date: August 2025

FTE/Days:  1.0 FTE; 195 days; August – June
Reports To:  Building Principal

Job Summary:
The Administrative Dean is responsible for providing assistance to the Principal in the general administration and management of the building.  The Administrative Dean is the primary administrator and coordinator of the day to day student management and attendance matters.  The Administrative Dean will also assist the principal in hiring and supervising staff and in providing instructional leadership and staff development opportunities for staff.

Education/Certification Requirements:  A valid, K-12 Principal license issued through PELSB is required.
Experience Requirements: Exemplary teaching and/or administrative experience is required. Elementary teaching experience preferred.

Compensation: Annual base salary of $121,733. Additional compensation, including Education Credit, pursuant to the Principals’ Association Master Agreement.

Benefits:  As defined by the parameters of the Principals’ Association Master Agreement, an annual amount of $11,500 will be available for the Administrative Dean to distribute as he/she designates among benefits (health insurance, dental insurance).  The Administrative Dean must enroll in at least single health coverage. Additional benefits include:

Term life insurance policy equal to $250,000.00, the employee may purchase additional coverage (accidental death and dismemberment or supplemental life.)
District contribution to Deferred Compensation Plan up to $4,400 per year
Professional Development:  District contribution of $1,500 per year
Professional Association Dues:  District pays for one State and one National association
Annual performance pay if requirements are met
Ten (10) days of Personal Time off (PTO) and three (3) sick days are granted per year
