District School Nurse

Job Goal:  The District School Nurse is responsible for the implementation of school health services for the district within the division of student services. Roles of the School Nurse are as follows:

  1. Providing direct care to students and staff;
  2. Providing leadership for the provision of health services;
  3. Providing screening and referral for health conditions;
  4. Promoting a healthy school environment;
  5. Promoting health;
  6. Serving in a leadership role for health policies and programs; and
  7. Serving as a liaison between school personnel, family, community, and health care providers.

Reports to:  Director of Student Services

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Recommend school district policies and philosophy related to the Health Services Program.
  2. Provide supervision of building level health aides (5 buildings).
  3. Assess and evaluate the health and developmental status of school children.
  4. Promote and maintain health and well-being of students, families, and school personnel by teaching and counseling.
  5. Develop, implement and/or oversee an individual plan for the care of students with chronic health conditions or disabilities and students needing treatments or medication.
  6. Prevent communicable disease.
  7. Develop and maintain a system of first aid, recommend school safety measures, and promote a healthful school environment.
  8. Provide health education.
  9. Assume responsibility for continuing education and own professional development.
  10. Collect data and maintain records within professional and legal boundaries and school guidelines.
  11. Perform such other duties as may be directed.

Activities Director/Assistant Principal

Job Goal:  The Activities Director/Assistant Principal is an instructional leader whose primary responsibility is to assist in establishing, maintaining, and supporting a positive student growth culture, and oversees athletics and activities at the high school. The Activities Director/Assistant Principal collaborates with building and District staff to implement curriculum and instructional programs that support every student, every day.  Leading Professional Learning Communities (PLC’s) is at the core of our work, contributing to the success of all learners.

Reports to:  High School Principal

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in the supervision of all school operations, instructional programming, athletics and activities for grades 9-12.
  2. Develops, executes, and monitors the annual School Improvement Plan (SIP) in collaboration with other building administrators.
  3. Leads change and has the ability to influence, motivate and model systems thinking for all staff.
  4. Helps to establish, maintain, and support a positive student growth culture fostering a shared commitment of high expectations for student growth, achievement, and high standards of teaching and learning.
  5. Provides leadership in the areas of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and other research-based frameworks and strategies.
  6. Collaborates with teachers to examine student and school data to measure student learning and growth, identify achievement & opportunity gaps, and develop strategic interventions that improve learning and close identified gaps.
  7. Facilitates reflective practice, inquiry, and action research to identify and monitor the impact of interventions and determine high-yield instructional strategies that improve student growth.
  8. Observes instruction and provides ongoing feedback and coaching to teachers and other staff supporting professional growth leading to high student growth.
  9. Monitors the daily school schedule and ensures instructional time is maximized.
  10. Administers the program of daily attendance and takes corrective measures for violations of attendance rules and procedures.  In coordination with high school administration,, administers student discipline and activities code violations.
  11. Maintains a student database for student physicals, information cards, activity code sheets and fees.
  12. Develops co-curricular schedules and maintains a master calendar.
  13. Arranges necessary transportation for extracurricular events.
  14. Sets up activity event supervision with fellow administrators and supervises events.
  15. Assists in the recruiting, screening, hiring, assigning and evaluating of the school’s staff; both certified and support staff, along with coaches, advisors, and officials.
  16. Evaluates coaching staff and extracurricular programming.  Responsible for providing professional development of coaching staff.
  17. Participates in administrative team meetings and other such meetings as required or appropriate for successful administration of the school.
  18. Abides by all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and statutes for the position and ensures compliance from coaches, advisors, and all other activities workers.
  19. Build relationships with community partners and youth organizations to promote participation and positivity surrounding athletics and activities.
  20. Oversees the budget for athletics and activities and maintains a system for financial accountability.
  21. Performs other administrative duties as required.

School Counselor (Elementary)

Speech and Language Pathologist

JOB FUNCTION:
The Speech and language Pathologist will assess, diagnose and treat students who have qualified as having a speech and language impairment. Additionally, the Speech and Language Pathologist will develop IEPs using best practices in speech therapy, deliver services in the least restrictive environment, monitor the progress of the student, and consult and collaborate with staff and families.

Teacher – Technology Education/Computer Science

Qualifications:

  • Required: Valid Wisconsin DPI teaching license appropriate for the assigned subject/grade level and bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
  • Preferred: Prior teaching experience in the assigned subject/grade level and familiarity with technology integration and various instructional strategies.
