POSITION:
Administrative Assistant – High School – West Building – 8 hours per day – 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM
204 work days per year (includes 9 paid holidays) – beginning August, 2022.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Special Projects role
Data Management working with the following: STAR, MCCC, NCAA, and Tech prep reporting
Cashier management and Activities Office support.
May greet visitors, determines their needs, and directs or escorts them to the appropriate person.
Maintains an effective communications retrieval system.
Maintains and monitors the release of student records.
Performs such other tasks consistent with the position as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Post high school training required with business and finance experience preferred.
Successful experience in an office setting required.
Demonstrated effective oral and written communications skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in all school dealings.
Proven success in keyboarding and computer software required.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work as a positive contributing member of an office team.
Proven, successful experience working with minimal supervision accompanied by successful problem solving skills.
Proven, successful experience relating well to school-aged youth as well as to adults.
Ability to multi-task in a high energy environment.

WAGES/BENEFITS:
As per the current Administrative Assistant/Clerical master agreement. Paid benefit package.

1.0 FTE EARLY CHILDHOOD SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

Full-time (1.0 FTE)  Early Childhood Special Education Teacher with Faribault Public Schools.  This position commences on approximately 8/22/22 with the start of the 2022-23 school year.

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. The school district currently serves approximately 3,700 students in Faribault and our surrounding areas within our community of 23,000 citizens within the city limits. District sites include one early childhood center, three elementary schools K-5, one middle school 6-8, one high school 9-12, one area learning center 9-12 and one education center for adult education.

Director of Business Services

Edina Public Schools is seeking a progressive and collaborative-minded professional for the position of Director of Business Services.  With the focus to support and advance the school district’s mission, vision, and core values, the Director of Business Services directs, develops, and provides leadership for business services across the district, including the Controller, Director of Buildings and Grounds, Supervisor of Transportation, and the Director of Food Service (contracted service).

 

Essential Duties of the Position Include:

Financial Affairs: Evaluates the operation and maintenance of district accounting programs to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures and effective use of available time, money, and human resources with the controller. Develops long-range financial planning. Formulates revenue, expense, enrollment and long-range financial projections. Directs budget assumptions, processes, and procedures and oversees a system of budget control.

Buildings and Grounds: Directs and evaluates, with the Director of Buildings and Grounds, the operation and maintenance of school plan and grounds. Coordinates long-range facilities planning, including new construction, remodeling of existing facilities, and future alternative uses.

Food Service: Develops specifications for bidding of food services and coordinates team analysis of bids from contractors. Directs and evaluates the food services contracted program.

Transportation: Directs and evaluations the Supervisor of Transportation and transportation staff, the operation and maintenance of school transportation and contracted transportation for special education and out of district students. Coordinates bidding process for contractual transportation services, contractual arrangements for transportation of resident students attending nonpublic schools out of the district. Coordinates the fleet insurance program.

Personnel: Interprets and administers employment agreement provisions for all employees responsible to the Director of Business Services. Coordinates the personnel insurance program for worker’s compensation, long-term disability and life insurance. Oversees the tax-sheltered annuity program. Recruit and hire staff, performance annual evaluations and assist staff with establishing development goals.

Principal – Highlands Elementary School

Mathematics Teacher (Grades 9-12)

Position Purpose
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, to develop students’ skills and competence in basic and complex mathematical principles, equations, formulas and calculations, as well as an understanding of the application of mathematics in the solution of practical problems.

Essential Performance Responsibilities

  • Develops and administers mathematics curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
    Promotes a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to individualized and small group instruction, and student learning.
    Develops lesson plans and instructional materials for subject area, and translates lesson plans into learning experiences to develop pertinent sequential assignments, challenge students, and best utilize the available time for instruction.
    Teaches knowledge and skills in mathematics, including concepts such as real an imaginary numbers, formulas, calculations and geometry, and promotes creative thinking and analysis in all related subject areas.
    Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of mathematics to everyday existence and problem-solving.
    Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student’s needs, including students with special needs; conducts individual and small group instruction as needed.
    Maintains familiarity with district and Minnesota State standardized tests for the purpose of adapting curriculum to maximize student achievement on such tests.
    Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the educational field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, or by conducting research.
    Organizes and maintains a system for accurate and complete record-keeping, grading, and reporting for all student activities, achievement and attendance as required by district procedures and applicable laws.
    Encourages parental involvement in students’ education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
    Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school’s standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
    Coordinates with other professional staff members, especially within grade level, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.
    Selects and requisitions appropriate books, instructional aids and other supplies and equipment and maintains inventory records.
    Additional Duties
    Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

    Knowledge of a wide range of mathematic subject areas, including arithmetic equations, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and other related areas.
    Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
    Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
    Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
    Ability to organize and coordinate work.
    Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
    Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.
    Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.

Qualifications Profile

Certification/License:Minnesota State Certification as a Mathematics Education Teacher
Motor Vehicle Operator’s License or ability to provide own transportation
EducationBachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
Experience
Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.
