Major Job Function:  Provide leadership in the overall operation of the Varsity/JV Boys’ Hockey program

Qualifications:

Minnesota Head Coaching Certification/Licensure or ability to complete
Coaching experience required
Hockey knowledge/experience
Duties/Skills:

Good communication skills
Respect/recognition of youth needs, interest and accomplishment
Development of a comprehensive hockey program including by working in coordination with the AD in the following areas:Parental Organization/Organization of Parent Pre-season meeting
Working with Youth Organizations
Equipment/Uniforms
Budget
Transportation
Fundraising
End of Season Banquet
Daily Practice Schedule
Game Scheduling
Monitor student-athletes academic progress
Public Relations
Staffing of Lower Level and Assistant Coaches
Attendance at Conference and Section Coaches Meetings
Preparation and promotion of athletes for a post high school experience

This position will support the K-8 refinement and implementation of all SEL resources to ensure we are meeting the needs of students and are responsive to their needs as we transition from the pandemic. This includes leading the K-5 SEL leadership team, working with school leaders and staff, collaborating with Equity, Project Aware/mental health, and Restorative Practices to ensure alignment of 622 key principles and the Equity Policy. This position would also refine the current scope/sequence of SEL, mental health, CLRT and classroom management resources (PBIS/Olweus/RC/Welcoming Schools and classroom management). This role would also provide support, coach/modeling, and providing job embedded PD. This position would be supervised by the Assistant Superintendent however would work closely with Teaching & Learning and Student Services.

Days/Hours: Student Contact Days; 11:45am – 1:00pm
Responsible To: Building Principal/Administrative Dean

Position Purpose: The lunchroom and playground supervisor must have the ability to work on a team to maintain order, connect with students, communicate with staff and work with a team to keep the lunchroom safe and clean.
