English/Language Arts Teacher
Middle School Principal
The Mahtomedi School District hosts a 3,200-student population and is located in the northeast metropolitan area; which comprises an E-2 Elementary, 3-5 Elementary, Middle School grades 6-8, High School grades 9-12 along with a Transition program for students aged 18-21.
The Middle School serves approximately 850 students and 75 staff. This position collaborates with a team of six other principals and an administrative leadership team in the District.
Elementary Teacher Grades 3-5 (School Year 2021-2022)
Qualifications:
Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Candidate will have a solid background in equity, believing and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Experience in balanced literacy, co-teaching, and utilizing an integrated approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEAM is beneficial. Consistent and reliable attendance is required. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired.
1.0 FTE High School Social Worker or Chemical Health Specialist
Essential Functions: A full-time (1.0 FTE) Social Worker or Chemical Health Specialist – Faribault Area Learning Center. Manage mental health/chemical health caseload, responsibilities include individual and group; establish and maintain communication with parents/guardians; and make referrals to, and conduct case-planning with, community services/resources. Assist with attendance monitoring, to include communication with students and parents/guardians. This position commences with the 2021-22 school year on August 23, 2021.
Elementary School Social Workers (3.0 FTE)
Job Description: Elementary School Social Worker at Lincoln, Roosevelt & Jefferson Elementary. These positions work with the school and families promoting a positive learning environment for general and special education students; screen and identify students through consultation with parents, staff and community agency personnel including collection and evaluating appropriate student records and developing and implementing interventions to allow students to be successful; write and present social work assessment summaries and recommendations for educational planning and social work services; maintain and facilitate the transition of students between schools or programs; serve as a resource to building staff regarding identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, facilitating support groups, supervision of students and outreach efforts. This position commences with the 2021-22 school year on August 23, 2021.
Occupational Therapist
Position is full-time, part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at Wildwood Elementary.
