Online Middle School Lead Principal

Additional Information:

This position is not a remote position.  This principal will have a physical office in a school building and will keep regular office hours.

Job Summary:

  • Fosters high student achievement and provides learning experiences which help all students meet or exceed the Minnesota standards.
  • Develops a safe and welcoming learning environment where all individuals are respected.

High School Principal

Industrial Technology Teacher (2022-2023 School Year)

Special Education Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (2022-2023 School Year)

Position Summary:
This is a district-wide position serving Early Childhood through grade 12. The Developmental Adapted Physical Education (DAPE) Teacher provides specialized instruction that includes skill development in physical fitness, motor fitness, fundamental motor skills and patterns, aquatics, dance, individual and group games, and sports.

The DAPE teacher, as part of the district-wide DAPE and physical education teams, participates in and conducts portions of the evaluations and observations to determine special education eligibility of students placed in the program, and conducts periodic assessments to determine educational progress of the students. The DAPE teacher assists in developing Individualized Education Program (IEP) Goals and Objectives/Benchmarks and participates in and/or conducts IEP Meetings for students in the program. They design appropriate educational programming for students and provides instruction in a Least Restricted Environment (LRE) by adapting or modifying the physical education curriculum and/or instruction to address the individualized abilities of each child.

Qualifications:
DAPE teaching licensure required.
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of a DAPE Teacher.
Thorough knowledge of DAPE practices and procedures.
Ability to demonstrate confidentiality.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, school staff, administrators, and outside agencies.
Ability to schedule and prioritize a variety of assignments independently.
