Effective immediately, the Human Resources Department will accept online applications for the position of part-time Medical Careers Teacher (.6 FTE) within our High School College and Career Program for the 2021-22 school year.  We offer a competitive salary and benefits package.  Salary placement is based on education and experience as indicated in Teacher’s Collectively Bargained Agreement.

Job Summary
Develop the student’s fullest acquisition of knowledge, skills, concepts, and attitudes.

Job Functions

Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.
Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods.  Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Deliver the district’s written, taught and assessed curriculum.
Maintain knowledge and skills with IB Program changes and updates.
Create a positive environment to ensure successful learning for all students.
Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress, and to determine priorities for their children’s social, emotional and academic growth.
Partner with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators in order to support students’ academic and social-emotional development.
Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
Support the district’s mission, vision, values and strategic plan.
Guide and counsel students with adjustment and/or academic issues or special academic interests.
Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines or requirements of states and schools. Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula.
Meet with other professionals to discuss individual students’ needs and progress.
Administer standardized, formative and state mandated assessments and interpret results to determine student strengths and areas of need.
Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops in order to maintain and improve professional competence.
Understand and maintain boundaries and confidentiality with students, families and staff.
Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, staff, families and community members.
Adhere to staff and program guidelines and district procedures and policies.
Demonstrate prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
Other duties as assigned.

Vocal Music Teacher – Middle/High School (.8 FTE)

Assistant Principal – Middle School

Job Summary
Culture and develop inclusive and equitable working relationship with all students, staff, families and community; coordinate and lead programs; coordinate state testing; and focus on achievement of all students.

Job Functions

Cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with all students, staff, families and community members.
Responsible for assisting students in academics and behavior
Coordinate and lead programs such as BARR (Building Assets, Reducing Risks), PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports), MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) and other programs.
Monitor, analyze and communicate student achievement data by subject, grade and school and by student demographics.
Coordinate and manage after school and summer programming.
Act as School Assessment Coordinator for all state tests and provide training for proctors.
Coordinator and facilitate implementation of the student attendance policy.
Create the master schedule, coordinate student system and facilitate student registration
Facilitate re-entry meetings for suspended students
Assist with classroom observations/evaluations of teaching staff
Work closely with the principal to ensure curriculum alignment and support programs
Act as a resource for classroom teachers, assistants, and substitutes teachers
Responsible for monitoring hallways, cafeteria and building security
Coordinate and lead state required safety and security drills
Assist the principal in the hiring process of staff
Provide assistance in designing and implementing student handbook revisions
Support and promote the school district’s strategic plan.
Work to maintain open communication with staff, district personnel, parents and community
Supervise events outside the school day, including night and weekend supervision, as assigned by the principal
Assist with designing and implementing new programs that reflect the changing needs of the student population
Facilitate and serve on task forces and committees as assigned by the principal
Meet with instructional departments and serve as a liaison between departments
Promote positive change and serve as a role model for all staff and students.
Comply with all laws, school board policies and school district procedures.
