ABOUT THE COMMUNITY/SCHOOL DISTRICT:

The Montevideo Public Schools’ main office is in Montevideo, Minnesota. The school district has an approximate enrollment of 1,371 pre-kindergarten through grade twelve students.

LEADERSHIP PROFILE: The Montevideo Public Schools School Board seeks a superintendent who:

  • Is a “people person” with proven abilities in human relations and communications
  • Is visible and accessible to the School Board, staff, students, parents, and community
  • Acts with honesty and in an ethical manner with the School Board, staff, and community
  • Promotes business and community involvement in schools
  • Has experience in school finance

Previous superintendent experience is preferred, but not required.

SALARY/CONTRACT:  The current superintendent’s base salary for the 2020-2021 school year is $145,826. The final salary will be negotiated commensurate with experience and qualifications. The contract length is negotiable as provided in Minnesota statute.

Speech Language Pathologist Long Term Substitute

A full-time (1.00 FTEs) position as a Speech/Language Pathologist Long Term Substitute is available.  This position provides Speech/Language Pathology services to school district students.  Age/grade level to be determined.

Qualifications Required: Current Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the MN Department of Education or eligible master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Custodian, K12, Full-time (1.0) – Lewiston-Altura Public Schools

Lewiston-Altura Public Schools has an immediate opening for a second or third shift custodian. Duties include cleaning and other custodial duties, assist in set-up of facilities for athletic/fine art/school programming events, maintenance of high school facility, grounds keeping, etc. High School education required. Special Class Engineer Boiler License must be obtained within first year of employment. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Day hours vary depending on the season and need of the district. Substitute Teachers

Rush City Schools is currently seeking substitute teachers to have on call. A short-call substitute licensure is required and can be obtained through the Minnesota Department of Education. To obtain a short-call substitute license the candidate must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Minnesota candidates that have completed student teaching through a teacher preparation program, but do not yet have a bachelor’s degree awarded may apply for this license. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a candidate may evidence five years of work experience, an associate’s degree, OR a professional certification from an approved certifying organization that is directly aligned to a Career and Technical (CTE) or Career Pathways licensure field.
