Summary:
Inver Grove Heights Public Schools is seeking an High School Assistant Principal to work at Simley High School. This position will remain posted until filled.
Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following fundamental duties:Responsible for assisting in the administration of the High School program.
Assist in the selection, supervision, and evaluation of certified and classified staff.
Responsible for maintaining standards of student behavior that ensure smooth operation of the school program.
Responsible for supervising the operation of the physical plant, including state safety codes, fire prevention, fire drills, and proper emergency procedures.
Participate in the development of instructional effectiveness.
Responsible for administering procedures, policies, regulations and directives of the School Board and the district administration.
Responsible for participating in building and district committees, parent advisory, business, and community groups.
Responsible for assisting in the preparation of handbooks, newsletters, news articles, and other communication tasks.
Responsible for being informed of current educational trends, developments, and research.
Assists in the implementation of testing.
Responsible for supervising students’ attendance/truancy.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION/DAPE TEACHER
This is a full time position at Bemidji Middle School. Applicants must be licensed by the Minnesota PELSB to teach K-12 Physical Education and K-12 Developmental/Adapted Physical Education (DAPE). Applicants that are able to obtain special permissions are encouraged to apply.
