Job Description: Faribault Public Schools Community Education is seeking a full-time coordinator position to oversee students, staff, volunteers, and programming at the Faribault Education Center. This year-round position is on a 230-day contract and requires flexibility in scheduling based on events; but must include one or two evenings per week. Salary range is $80,500 – $92,000 dependent on candidate experience and qualifications.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee all operations of the Faribault Education Center, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and efficient learning environment.
- Act as the building head, managing day-to-day operations, facility use, safety protocols, and serving as the point of contact for all building-related matters.
- Lead budget planning and financial oversight for adult education and related programs.
- Recruit, hire, supervise, and support FEC staff, including instructors, program managers, office staff, and volunteers.
- Develop innovative programming and course offerings that are responsive to the evolving needs of adult learners and the broader community.
- Attend Southeast ABE consortium meetings to support regional collaboration and program alignment.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal funding, including grant requirements and reporting procedures.
- Collaborate with district leadership and community partners to identify and respond to community education needs.
- Analyze program data and outcomes to guide strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Support centralized student registration and promote equitable access to education.
- Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning among staff and program participants.
Qualifications:
- Previous leadership experience in education, adult learning, or community-based programming
- Strong skills in budgeting, personnel management, and program coordination
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
- Knowledge of adult education, community education, or workforce development preferred

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish or Somali
- K-12 Administrative licensure
