SUMMARY:
With supervision, assist licensed Spring Lake Park Public Schools’ staff in the implementation of a comprehensive educational program for students, grades K-4, who are in various school environments. Staff are expected to participate as part of a classroom environment that is multicultural/gender and ability fair/developmentally appropriate, is favorable to learning and growth, and is based on a commitment that all children can learn. This may include working with students in individual, small group, and large group environments in the general education setting. The ability to assist students with the acquisition of academic, study, and social skills commensurate with pre-college academic content in mathematics, science, language arts, and social studies.

Implement and maintain school programs and services for students with disabilities.
Act as a liaison between the students, family, community, and the school.
Work effectively with an interdisciplinary team and have the ability to work independently.
Work with school staff to provide academic and behavior support to classroom teachers.
Provide mediation support to assist students with conflict; assist students in development self-advocacy skills.
Use technology skills to organize and deliver school programs and student services.
Meet District standards for employee performance and attendance.
Participate in staff development/professional growth activities relevant to position, responsibilities and school improvement plans.
Perform related duties as assigned/requested.
