Responsibilities:
• School MTSS-B Coordinator
• Ascribes to the philosophy that all children can succeed and demonstrates the commitment to
do what is necessary to make this a reality
• Demonstrates exceptional skill in the roles of a teacher leader: collaborator, action researcher,
reflective practitioner, and learner advocate
• Set goals for behavioral changes, monitor students, assess progress and modify behavioral
plans in conjunction with IEP and/or MTSS teams.
• Provide behavioral support and collaboration to teachers and school staff
• Observe students across their educational environments
• Record and analyze appropriate data to monitor student progress in identified areas
• Member of the MTSS Leadership Committee
• Support teachers with the implementation of the school-wide MTSS plan with an emphasis on
behavioral interventions and modeling strategies to help students reset
• Works directly with students who are dysregulated
• Manage, monitor, and analyze assessment and SWIS data
• Helps coordinate plans that address students’ inappropriate behaviors and provide a means to
help the students become more academically successful.
• Provide recognition of a variety of student accomplishments and positive behaviors.
• Work cooperatively with building administrators to promote positive student behavior by
providing professional development that targets research, strategies and modeling of
instructional practices to support teachers in their implementation of positive behavior support in
their classrooms.
• Meet with parents as needed and provide techniques to support the positive behavior
development of their child.

Title I Coordinator – Elementary

• Support teachers with the implementation of the school-wide Title 1 plan,
• Coordinate and monitor building-level MTSS model,
• Support staff with district MTSS-A(Academic) and MTSS-B(Behavioral) plans (Dr. Greene’s
CPS model, NDMTSS standards, etc),
• Collaborate with teachers,
• Provide student intervention support,
• Manage, monitor, and analyze assessment data,
• Communicate, collaborate and coordinate with teachers, administrators, families, or community
agencies and groups, regarding program questions, suggestions, concerns and/or Title 1
programming,
• Coordinate with instructional design coach and administration to facilitate professional learning
opportunities for staff,
• Perform related work as required, and
• Assist with various tasks deemed by school principal.
Salary shown is based on 2018-2019 salary schedule. New salary to be
determined per teacher negotiations.

Title I Coordinator – Middle School

• Review, understand and implement the requirements of federal mandates and North Dakota
Department of Public Instruction

1.0 FTE Special Education teaching position to work with students with disabilities at Spring Lake Park High School, grades 9-12, specifically helping students, families, and staff create and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPS).

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to…

conducting informal and formal Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and analyses, as well as collecting and analyzing student data;
establishing and monitoring targeted behavior plans, based on results of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs);
modeling and coaching other school staff on the implementation of targeted behavior plans;
leading a team of paraprofessionals in implementing targeted behavior plans;
communicating with parents to provide regular updates on student successes and challenges;
collaborating with principals, special education coordinator and staff, and professional learning communities, to ensure student needs are being met;
design and implement professional learning on core classroom management expectations and targeted behavior strategies;
maintain student records of services provided, following Due Process best practices and compliance;
participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings; and
perform other related duties, as assigned.
