Early Childhood Family Services Manager
Job Summary:
- Provide visionary leadership and exceptional management of the following Community Education programs: Early Childhood Family Education (known as PAIIR), Early Childhood Screening, Family Literacy, Preschool, Preschool Enrichment, and School Readiness.
- Provide outstanding communication and serve as the spokesperson on behalf of these programs, their participant children and families, and staff.
- Work closely with school district and community partners in support of young children and their care givers (such partners include, but are not limited to, Early Childhood Special Education, Head Start, Mayo Clinic, other medical providers, and private early care/education providers).
- Hire, assign, mentor, and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff highly qualified to meet the needs of children and families served by our programs.
- Develop avenues for participants and staff to provide meaningful feedback for program improvement and innovation.
- Supervise the selection, training, and implementation of evidence-based curriculum and assessments, to assure the best possible learning experience for children and families.
- Actively manage the efficient use of resources and implement effective financial controls within programs, to maintain positive fund balances; seek grants and other appropriate revenues.
- Serve on appropriate school district and community committees aligned with program needs
Complete all required school district, state, and grant reports within required timelines. - Oversee facility use and concerns related to Community Education early childhood programs
Work with staff, parents, and partners to address issues that arise within programs. - Work with Executive Director and other Community Education managers to provide leadership to the overall program.
1.0 Guidance Counselor
The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District is accepting applications for a full-time high school counselor position to begin with the 2019-2020 school year. The position is at DGF High School located in Glyndon.
Preferred candidates will have background/experience qualified to address all students’ academic, personal/social and career development needs including:
- Ability to work effectively with students and families from diverse backgrounds;
- Technology skills that support tracking student progress and data driven programming;
- Knowledge of the reporting procedures relative to the maltreatment of minors;
- Knowledge of the roles & services offered by support agencies;
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Family & Consumer Science (FACS) Instructor
The Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton School District is accepting applications for a part-time Family & Consumer Science teaching position to begin with the 2019-2020 school year. The position is at the high school building located at the Glyndon site. The District anticipates the position to expand into a full-time position due to student enrollment growth.
High School Principal
Position Requirements:
The Senior High School Principal must demonstrate accomplished leadership skills, excellent organizational skills, highly developed communications skills, and in-depth knowledge of instruction and educational issues. Demonstrated participation in equity leadership professional development and/or experience in equity programming. Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness. Comprehensive knowledge of the policies, practices, methods and techniques used in the administration and supervision of a school; thorough knowledge of prescribed school board policies and procedures; thorough skill in oral and written communication; thorough skill in the use of personal computers and related software packages, hardware and peripheral equipment; thorough skills in outstanding leadership and personal characteristics; ability to motivate others to reach their fullest potential; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, the School Board, parents, elected officials, students, staff, superintendent and the general public. Secondary or K-12 Principal Licensure is required. Minimum of four years of successful secondary administrative experience is preferred.
