Job Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our elementary EL team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below.

Job-Duties:

-Provide EL instruction in alignment to the domains of Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening at two elementary schools, Roosevelt and Lincoln elementary
-Staff will travel between two schools to provide services
-Teach in a small group or co-teaching section
-Manage the EL student caseload

Faribault Public Schools is a rural Pre-K through Adult School District located about 50 miles south of the Twin-Cities. Job Summary: 

Under the direction of the manager, district policies, and in compliance with state and federal laws, provide program leadership and perform duties involved in the supervision and implementation of district policies, curriculum, instructional programs and staff performance. This position will work with member districts and families for intake and referral procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Provide overall direction of the program personnel and students for daily operations in the absence of the manager.
  • Provide supervision, evaluation and support to staff.
  • Complete suspension paperwork and contact and notify necessary authorities for incidents resulting in suspension and/or expulsions.
  • Create, coordinate and maintain master schedule of classrooms, courses and groups for the year.
  • Assist manager with budget preparation and staffing.
  • Act as the primary liaison between own school, other schools, students and families for credit, graduation, behavioral or other needs.
  • Maintain student credit evaluation records and transcripts, certify students for completion of graduation credit and testing requirements for home high schools and own school.
  • Conduct meetings and provide training to a variety of staff specific to the functions of the program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
