Long Term Sub 3rd Grade Teacher
This position is for Long Term Sub to fulfill all the duties of a regular classroom instructor, which include but not limited to: literacy, math, science, social studies, and art instruction. DESCRIPTION
This is a confidential and complex position requiring a high degree of organizational planning, the performance of high level administrative duties and tasks requiring the exercise of independent initiative, knowledge, judgement and tact, and the ability to relieve the Director of administrative detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Represents the school and Director at all times and in the Director’s absence.
- Keeps the Director informed of school operations and important information when the Director is off-site.
- Maintains a visible presence in the school and assists with student management to support safety and security.
- Preparation, development, and publication of required reports.
- Prepare presentations of school data and develop reports and summary handouts.
- Research and interpret laws relating and applying to policy, create draft policy for review, and maintaining the review cycle and current policy manual.
- Attends all Board meetings (and other meetings, as needed) and prepares and publishes meeting agendas, minutes, documents, etc.
- Assists Director in public relations, marketing opportunities, and all promotional materials.
- Assists with prospective student days and new student orientation & leveling days.
- Assist with staff recognition and appreciation events.
- Develop and maintain databases for personnel matters and staff evaluations.
- Performs research, analysis, drafts, and report preparation in response to specific requests.
- Composes correspondence, as necessary. Reviews and interprets highly confidential information.
- Processes purchase orders and reviews and maintains accurate budget.
- Oversees and assists with facilities operations and issues.
- Assists with events & other school sponsored activities.
- Manages staff parking at the MN Science Museum and Metro Transit arrangements.
- Liaison to technology management company – help troubleshoot technology issues and contact appropriate support people, as needed.
