At least 10 years’ experience in the early childhood field, including both supervisory experience and significant teaching experience in early childhood and/or parent education

Commitment to and comfort with data driven decision making

Instructional Technology Coordinator

Mankato Area Public Schools has a position available for an Instructional Technology Coordinator beginning July 1, 2018. This is a full-time, 12-month Non-Affilated position. See attached job description.

Summary of Duties:
The Instructional Technology Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and coordination of the MAPS vision of effective technology integration; enhance integration of technology throughout the curriculum; promote the effective use of instructional technology throughout the District; and provide staff with professional development opportunities. The Instructional Technology Coordinator provides leadership, professional development, and instructional support to all MAPS staff and students. The Instructional Technology Coordinator serves as a liaison between school and district stakeholders to ensure alignment of building and district instructional technology initiatives. The Instructional Technology Coordinator collaborates with appropriate instructional and technical staff to support, manage, and optimize the use of instructional technology to support quality teaching and learning.

 

Qualifications Required:

·       A Masters degree from an accredited college or equivalent in educational technology or related field preferred

·       Demonstrated knowledge of Technology Standards and integration of the K-12 curriculum

·       Demonstrated three-years success as a classroom teacher with knowledge and mastery of a variety of effective instructional strategies

·       Ability to support learning and curriculum alignment, develop effective lessons, and provide embedded professional development to District staff to integrate technology into the curriculum

·       Demonstrated effectiveness planning and providing professional development

·       Evidence of high-level instructional technology skills and application

EL Teacher – 1.0 FTE Middle School

1.0 EL Teacher – We are looking for someone to work as part of our EL Middle School team to provide differentiated support for our diverse group of English Learners and perform the possible duties outlined below. This position commences with the 2018-19 school year on August 27, 2018.

Job Duties:

– Teach a self-contained EL language development classes in reading and writing tied to a specific EL curriculum
– Run small group pull out intervention services focused on content vocabulary and comprehension in various content areas such as science and social studies.
– Co-teach at least one hour in math focusing on basic math skills.
– Manage the dual identified EL/SPED caseload
