Edina Public Schools has a part-time (25 hours per week) Title One Teaching position available at Cornelia Elementary School beginning August 2018. We are looking for a dedicated Title 1 teacher to support students at our diverse school. Experience with and appreciation of students from racially, ethnically, and linguistically diverse backgrounds is desired along with an understanding of student’s unique needs. This hourly position involves working with students in K-5 that are in need of academic support in reading, mathematics or writing. POSITION SUMMARY:
The Supervisor of Food Service will provide leadership in the delivery of food service programs to a diverse student population by planning, designing, and managing a state of the art Nutrition Services department to effectively meet the nutritional needs of students and staff. This position will participate in the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, supervision, and evaluation of site staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Plans, organizes, supervises, and assigns work of Nutrition Services staff at multiple District 742 sites.
Creates and maintains menus, including recipe development, production, and supervision, that are sensitive to the cultural differences of a diverse student population.
Ensures menus meet USDA regulations while also monitoring food cost and nutrition.
Monitors food storage to ensure federal, state, and local nutritional standards are met.
Manage special dietary needs to including coordinating with kitchen managers, nursing staff, parents, and students.
Takes into consideration and accommodates unique needs of students on free and reduced lunch programs.
Evaluates Nutritional Services staff performance including training, coaching, and administering corrective action, when warranted.
Counsels, trains, and directs First Cooks concerning problem solving, personnel issues, and operational issues involved in the coordinator of operations at their assigned schools.
Ensures Nutritional Services staff are sensitive and responsive to a diverse student population.
Ensures consistency by implementing and sharing best practices across District 742 locations.
Plans, implements, and troubleshoots point of sale, inventory control systems, other operational and procedural problems, issues, or concerns with staff.
Develops, implements, and modifies marketing plans to improve participation. Evaluates and revises marketing plans as needed.
Enthusiastically supports the mission and vision of the District and communicates effectively with faculty, staff, students, parents, and administration.
Monitors benchmarks to ensure innovative strategies for continuous improvement are attained.
Provides technical assistance and training to staff.
Works with vendors to solve problems, monitor costs, and ensure timely delivery of District supplies.
May require occasional work outside of normal business hours to support the needs of the school district.
