Job Summary: Provide leadership, direction, planning, and coordination of curriculum in accordance with Minnesota state standards and district policy. Oversees all prek-12 standardized testing, assessment and evaluation. Develops, directs, evaluates and administers procedures, programs,  budgets, staffing, and staff development and advises the Superintendent, School Board, and Administrative team on matters regarding Instructional Programs.

Skills Needed:
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of school administration; curriculum development and selection of appropriate instructional materials; staff development programs, techniques and procedures; ability to develop and present ideas effectively, orally and in written form; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, subordinates, supervisors, the School Board and general public.

Specific Tasks:
Provides Executive leadership to Cambridge-Isanti School District.
Directs the curriculum, instruction, and assessment development and improvement for Early Childhood through Grade 12 students.
Implements the Minnesota Academic Standards for teachers and students within the District.
Provides a system for learning and insuring students’ academic achievement to highest potential.
Handles testing program and requirements for Early Childhood through Grade 12 students; manages testing and achievement scores.
Applies student achievement for performance assessment accountability to the state standards.
Communicates with School Board, staff, community, and parents on curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Develops, implements, and monitors development programs for staff including new teacher mentoring, department and grade level leaders, in-service schedules and programs, Marzano’s Framework for Instruction.
Plans, develops, and implements the curriculum, instruction, and student performance annual report; complies with state requirements.
Provides leadership supporting curriculum, instruction, assessment, and staff development; chairs and participates on various committees and teams.
Oversees technology embedded into instructional delivery in all K-12 classrooms.
Plans, writes, and implements state reports.
Advises Superintendent, School Board, administrators, and District leadership teams on curriculum, instruction, assessment, and staff development.
Applies student achievement for performance assessment accountability to the state standards.
Communicates and makes recommendations to Superintendent, School Board, Principals, staff, community, and parents on curriculum instruction and assessment.
Actively represents the District in community-based and state organizations where there are mutual interests.

8 hours per day
8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
260 days per year

Speech Language Pathologist

Provide Speech language services to students who qualify for the service. Be part of a great special education team, conduct all aspects of due process procedures including conducting speech/language assessments, writing evaluation reports, writing IEP’s, writing progress reports, doing third party billing. DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION

The Director of Special Education is responsible for the overall administration of special education programs.  Additional responsibilities include: supervision of the early intervention program, Limited English Proficiency program, and the School District Nurse.  The Director is also responsible for the student behavior policy and procedures; exercises supervision of vocational education programs; monitors District compliance with state and federal special education rules and regulations; and is the designated local education agency representative for designated federal programs.  The Director of Special Education may also be designated as the District representative to various community agencies/organizations and perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Schools.

This position begins no later than July 1, 2018.

Interpreter

The primary responsibility of the interpreter is to facilitate communication between D/HH students and their peers, school staff, district staff, coaches, community members, or district sponsored events. Communication may be facilitated through different modalities: ASL, expressive and receptive voice, using cross cultural knowledge and knowledge about visual accessibility. Interpreters may need to provide education  instruction reinforcement by note taking, tutoring, test reading, assignment modification, and others as directed by the IEP. School Counselor

ESL Teacher
