TEACHING AND LEARNING SPECIALIST – SPECIAL EDUCATION CURRICULUM SUPPORT
Full Time – 2024-25 school year

Duties:  Develop and present various professional development sessions; work with teachers to develop curriculum documents; support teachers in the implementation of curriculum; and conduct student observations when a more restrictive setting is being considered.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires ASD, DD, MSI, MMI, or ABS License.  Work in collaboration with others and function in team settings.
(Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

Preferred Qualifications:  Expertise in academic curriculum and social emotional learning.  Experience supporting setting III or IV programs preferred.  Expertise in behavioral supports, behavior management, and social skill development and curriculum preferred.

Start Date:  ASAP.  This position may be filled immediately by an appropriately licensed candidate (PELSB Tier 3 or Tier 4 license); or by a candidate eligible for PELSB Tier 1 or Tier 2 license, or OFP (Out of Field Permission) after a 15-day posting period.
Duty year = 187 days plus up to 20 additional days.  Flexible scheduling of assigned duty days over 11-month calendar, August 1 thru June 30.
