Lunch Room Paraprofessional- 2 Positions

Salary Range: $52,851 – $104,522 for a 185 day contract @ a 1.0 FTE  (Salary will be prorated based on contract days in assignment and FTE, education, and experience). Salary and benefits pursuant to the Chaska Education Association (CEA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA). Currently under negotiations.

Position Description: Under the direction of the Director of Student Services, the Special Education Integration Specialist is responsible for integrating new platforms and curricula related to special education in our schools. This includes researching and identifying the district’s special education curricula and platform needs, creating training materials, providing in-person training to staff, and coordinating with the IT department for problem-solving.

Qualifications:   Must hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teacher License.
At least 3 years of Experience in Special Education teaching or related field is highly preferred.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the secure transfer and retrieval of electronic student files, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Act as the central support resource for all inquiries and troubleshooting related to Special Education (SPED) forms, addressing questions and providing solutions for staff.
  • Regularly revise and manage the content of Special Education manuals and online resources to reflect updated policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Create and document standardized processes for all tasks related to handling, submitting, and managing SPED forms, ensuring clarity and consistency across the department.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to ensure that staff and educators are proficient in using SPED forms and fully understand procedural guidelines.
  • Administer the setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of software modules within the SPED forms system to ensure functionality and efficiency.
  • Work closely with the IT department to diagnose and troubleshoot data import issues, ensuring seamless integration of student information into SPED systems.
  • Generate, review, and manage administrative reports that track and summarize Special Education data, providing insights for department leadership.
  • Engage with the Foundations team to align Special Education services with broader educational initiatives, promoting collaboration and consistency.
  • Offer in-person and virtual support to case managers and building personnel, assisting with technical, procedural, or operational challenges.
  • Take on various other tasks as directed by supervisors, contributing to the team’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

District Information: St. Francis Area Schools – ISD #15 is located in northern Anoka County and southern Isanti County. We are a 45 minute drive from Minneapolis and a great traffic-free drive from every direction. We are a rural/suburban district, covering 165 square miles. Our buildings include an early childhood family center, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, and other non-traditional secondary programs. Our school district annually educates more than 4,100 students.
