The Special Education Coordinator works with the Executive Director to develop and coordinate the Program to assure all students with disabilities are served appropriately.  This includes staff recruitment, monitoring compliance of due process procedures, orientation and staff development, curriculum and program design and implementation, management functions related to assigned program, activities and staff.  Staff includes teachers and assistants and other related and support service personnel as assigned.

Homebound Tutor

Edina Public Schools has a part time Homebound tutoring position available District-Wide beginning December 2018.  The position will be responsible to provide tutorial services in multiple subject areas to students restricted to homebound services due to medical or health concerns.

Students placed on medical homebound/homebased require tutors to carry out and accommodate curriculum that is designed by on-site school staff.  Requires frequent communication with teachers and various school staff to ensure student’s progress in the general curriculum.  Facility with technology important in order to access learner Apps.

Special Education Resource Teacher

Description:
1.0 FTE Special Education Resource Teacher to travel between East Middle School (.5 FTE) and West Middle School (.5FTE).

Job Summary:
Special Education Teacher to work with a variety of disabilities.  Deliver direct & indirect services, monitor IEP progress on goals & objectives.  Follow due process and IEP procedures & paperwork, communicate and work collaboratively with families & staff.

Qualifications:
SLD, EBD, ASD, or ABS license preferred.
Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction.
Must be willing to travel.
Strong classroom management skills.
Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff.

Working Conditions:
Classroom, office, standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, keyboarding, etc.

K-5 La ola del lago Spanish Immersion School Teachers, 2019-2020

¡Bienvenidos!  La ola del lago Spanish Immersion offers a full day of core curriculum in Spanish to K-5 students for the 2019-20 school year.  The 2019-20 school year seems a long way away, but we are excited to recruit and hire the best Spanish Immersion educators for our team.  La ola del lago Spanish Immersion School will be grades K-5 and approximately 450 students in the 2019-20 school year.
