Twin Cities Academy – Creating A Higher Standard of Academic Excellence Job Description Twin Cities Academy (6-12) school is seeking a dedicated, collaborative full time (1.0 FTE) High School English Teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. The teacher in this position will teach 10th and 12th grade English and 12th grade AP English Literature. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree, MN license or the ability to obtain a waiver (school will support a waiver for the best qualified person, if necessary). Preferred: Experience working in education, particularly in an urban environment, Master’s degree. The ideal candidate will be passionate, collaborative and innovative in inspiring students to engage with literature at a college preparatory level with a willingness to close the opportunity gap to ensure all students access to rigor and college level coursework. Institution Description Twin Cities Academy is an urban, college preparatory, public charter school located in East Saint Paul, serving students in grades 6-12. The school’s’ mission emphasizes academic rigor, leadership development, character building, and community engagement. Compensation Based on board approved salary schedule which considers years of experience, level of education and prior work performance.
