Job Summary:
The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for all financial operations and reporting; provides leadership and direction for the finance department; administers outside contracts as assigned; participates in the collective bargaining process of the District; trains, supervises and evaluates performance of assigned staff.

Major Areas of Accountability:

Accounting and Finance Functions (55% of role):
Develop and maintain the District budget of revenues and expenditures.
Direct and supervise all financial accounting, payment for materials and services along with monitoring the processing of payroll.
Develop procedures and processes to meet the requirements of the State purchasing laws for equipment and services
Provide financial data analysis for buildings, programs and negotiations
Monitor the Building and Grounds of the district (15% of role):
Develop and maintain the District budget of revenues and expenditures.
Plan and coordinate capital purchases for the District.
Direct and oversee the administration of systems and services of the department.
Monitor the Food Service Function of the district (10% of role):
Develop and maintain the District budget of revenues and expenditures.
Plan and coordinate capital purchases for the department.
Direct and oversee the administration of systems and services of the department
District contact for transportation (10% of role):
Develop and maintain the District budget of revenues and expenditures.
District contact for implementation of the transportation contract and policies of the District.
Participate in negotiations of employee contracts (10% of role):
Provide financial data analysis for negotiations.

Information Technology Specialist 2

Position Summary:
The Information Technology Specialist 2 is responsible for installation standard configuration, documentation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of WAN/LAN, Firewall, and Wi-Fi for the District. Monitors network usage and traffic to ensure efficient, reliable system access and data exchange; trains and assists site support personnel in network operating systems, application systems, and in the administration of networks; assists with the analysis of requests for new LAN/WAN applications from district personnel.

  •  The IT Specialist 2 plays an intricate role within education technology.  This would include creating & maintaining learning resources including tutorials and videos that support classroom technology as well as evaluating & recommending technology resources in the classroom.  This would also include assisting staff with creative and innovative classroom technology integration.
  • The IT Specialist 2 is responsible for the configuration and administration of Office 365 to include OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, & Exchange Online.  This would also include hosting professional development for all staff on the Office 365 suite of products.
  • The IT Specialist 2 is responsible for configuration, backup, and maintenance of the wired and wireless networks.
  • The IT Specialist 2 will also administer all aspects of the Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) telecommunications system.
  • The IT Specialist 2 is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the District Web Site utilizing rSchool Today; trains and assists building Information Technology Specialists on the use of rSchool Today.

Schedule:
52 weeks per year / 5 days per week / 8 hours per day / 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Special Education Paraprofessional – Early Childhood

Position Summary:
The Special Education Paraprofessional assists the classroom teacher with performing duties necessary to meet the educational, personal, physical, and behavioral needs of an individual or group of special education students.  The Special Education Paraprofessional’s primary focus is on directly serving students or in preparation for meeting the student’s needs.  This position, specifically, would be assisting with preschool students, ages 3-5, that are enrolled in the Early Childhood Special Education program.

 

Language Skills:
Read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondences, and memos.  Present information in one-to-one and small group situations to students, parents, and or staff.

Other Skills and Abilities:
Provide a variety of suggestions for working with students in the special education setting.  Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff and students.  Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students.  Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.  Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday / 6.5 hours per day / 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
