Essential Responsibilities:
–        Engage in job-embedded coaching with teachers in the area of curriculum, instruction, and assessment with a focus on integrating innovative instructional practices into daily instruction
–        Collaborate on the design, implementation, and facilitation of professional learning around innovative instructional strategies
–        Build capacity and leadership in other staff through consultation, collaboration, direct instruction, and job embedded coaching through a growth mindset
–        Demonstrate willingness to assume a leadership position by facilitating professional collaborative groups among teachers and coaches focusing on continuous improvement
–        Work positively toward meeting identified district and building improvement goals
–        Demonstrate knowledge and expertise in equity and culturally responsive teaching practices
–        Develop and maintain a confidential, collegial relationship with teachers while working collaboratively and collegially with other instructional, building, and district leadership
–        Assist teachers in obtaining resources to support instructional and professional learning
–        Participate in regular professional development to improve knowledge, skills, instructional coaching in literacy, math, STEM, and supporting the work of technology integration
–        Work collaboratively with teachers and administrators to focus on reflective dialog that drive instructional decisions and improves student achievement
–        Provide leadership in assessment to ensure classroom assessments are aligned with standards, curriculum, and instructional priorities
–        Assist with analyzing and interpreting data for promoting instructional improvement, improving student learning, and assisting in individual or district-wide staff development
–        Provide leadership with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support
–        Assist building principals in providing leadership for the Professional Learning Community (PLC)
–        Serve as a member of the School Leadership Team, Problem Solving Team, Staff Development Committee, and assist in other leadership roles

Math Teacher – Long Term Sub

Job Description

Twin Cities Academy High School is seeking a full time (1.0 FTE) long term mathematics substitute teacher for the March 15th until the end of the school year. The teacher will be working as a classroom teacher with 6th and 7th grade students.

Qualifications

Required: MN teaching license in 5-12 mathematics or the ability to get a temporary license. The school will support a temporary license for the most qualified candidate as needed.

Preferred: Experience working in an urban setting. Experience working with college-preparatory curriculum.

Job Description

Twin Cities Academy High School is seeking a full time (1.0 FTE) program paraprofessional for the 2017-2018 school year. The paraprofessional will be working as a classroom paraprofessional, working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Learning Disabilities, or Other Health Disabilities. This position will be a salaried position with benefits.

Required: Minimum of high school degree required; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

 

Preferred: At least 2 years of post-secondary education completed; background in working with Emotional Behavior Disorders,  related experience or training in providing assistance to students; substitute license

Bilingual Grade 1 Immersion Teacher

Assistant Director of Operations and Transportation

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist with the leadership and supervision of all construction and remodeling projects in the district.
2. Assist with supervision of building custodial staff on issues pertaining to cleaning and maintaining of all district buildings.
3. Consult with building principals and program directors about equipment purchase and repairs to include the building envelope, HVAC equipment, and other maintenance equipment.
4. Provides for and directs necessary training programs for custodial staff.
5. Assist with developing and maintaining vendor contacts for supplies, equipment, and maintenance.
6. Assist with developing an annual ten-year plan and seek school board approval.
7. Assist with ensuring that approved capital facilities plans are completed within budget.
8. Assist with establishing the physical design for the security system for each building
9. Assist with ensuring the security system is maintained and card inventory is controlled.
10. Assist in developing and maintaining a ten-year plan for Long Term Facility Management (LTFM) needs for the district.
11. Assist with State reporting.
12. Complete Fire Marshal, OSHA and Department of Health compliance orders.
13.  Assist in the development and administration of the transportation program to meet all the requirements of the district.
