Teacher – Community Education Adult Basic Education

Job Description: This part-time teaching position provides an opportunity to work with adults in Forest Lake Area Schools Community Education Adult Basic Education program located at the Central Learning Center. As a part of the ABE teaching team, this position will require using cooperative teaching strategies during instruction and integrating technology into learning. Responsibilities and Expectations: Provide direct individual and group instruction to students who are learning English, improving basic academic skills, developing workplace literacy skills, completing diploma courses, and preparing for the GED exam Assist the coordinator with student assessment Return student phone calls Monitor student attendance Complete required student record keeping Provide support for on-site literacy assistants and volunteers as requested Work Schedule: For the 2017-2018 fiscal year, this position will be approximately 17-26 hours per week for 47 weeks based on program needs. Schedule includes 17 hours per week during the summer and approximately 26 hours per week during the school year. Start Date: 7/15/17

Speech and Language Pathologist

School Psychologist for Delano Public Schools/Meeker and Wright Special Education Cooperative (#0938-52). 1.0FTE Position for the 2017-2018 school year for Meeker & Wright Special Education Cooperative (MAWSECO) serving Delano Public Schools. This position will provide experience in and will be responsible for (but not limited to) *Conducting individual psycho-educational evaluations of referred students, share interpretations with parents, school personnel and other agencies and make programming recommendations for students. *Cooperatively develop, implement and monitor individual plans and programs for specific students and provide staff and parent consultation and training to implement them. *Consult with school staff and parents and/or evaluate students for early, kindergarten and preschool entrance, and for promotion and/or retention cases as requested. *Act as a liaison, advocate and consultant on individual students with other agencies. *Promote and maintain high safety, ethical and confidentiality standards *Adhere to due process law *Engage in educational programming and planning with Federal Setting IV and Day Treatment Programs *Develop and provide professional development for Member districts and MAWSECO Special Education Programs *Work with member districts on the planning and implementation of intervention strategies
