JOB SUMMARY: Interact with multiple departments to perform intermediate technical work handling various finance, accounts payable and payroll duties in accordance with state and federal guidelines and the mission of the district. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 40% Accounts Payable * Process phone bill payments for district; coding of landline phone bills, coding of cell phone bills, monitor usage and equipment purchased, troubleshoot issues. * Process Food Service invoice records, create blanket purchase order, voucher and generate payments. * Maintain ‘L-Z’ P-Card payments and coding. * Backup to Finance Specialist I for all Accounts Payable functions. * Maintain copier count information for District and copier supply inventory and ordering. * Open and distribute all interoffice and postal mail for Finance Specialist I and II. * Handle and maintain file destruction including shredding. 58% Payroll * Leave balance maintenance in Absence Management system and processing of Teacher leave into Finance/HR system. * Verify and process employee reimbursement requests and collect and process annual cell phone agreements from employees receiving cell phone reimbursements. * Process and mail manual payroll checks. * Verify and process payments for health, dental, HRA, life insurance, unemployment claims and taxable life insurance calculations and deductions. * Maintain all user functions in Time clock system (enter badge numbers, set up supervisors, create job codes) and review Time clock system hourly employee reports and changes (check for errors, proofing, additions). * Process payroll imports into Finance/HR system (downloads from Time clock system and manual file created for Bus Driver payroll). * Data entry of all manual hourly employee time sheets into Finance/HR system (including verification of codes and pay rates). * Scan necessary employee documents received by Payroll/Finance into retention software. * Maintain the finance portion of the ‘Employee Management Module’ in Finance/HR software system. * Assists Payroll Specialist as needed. * Primary backup to Payroll Specialist. 2% Professional Development * Attend in-service trainings as required. * Provide training to staff on finance functions as needed.

Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, Birth to age 5 (2784)

The Early Childhood Special Education Teacher will work with families and students (Birth to age 5) in the home and in a preschool setting. The teacher will consult with staff about students under the Developmental Delay category who are in an Elementary school. The teacher will work with a team of staff to assess, identify, and provide direct services to students and families that qualify for services. The position will be split roughly 60% preschool setting and 40% Birth-3. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *Knowledge of child growth and development, principles of coaching, effective communication skills, and the ability to develop positive and trusting relationships with families. *This position requires direct special education services, assessments, and family consultation to be provided in the home setting for children ages birth to three with special needs. *Perform age appropriate educational assessments with children in the home and/or early childhood setting. *Develop, write, and implement appropriate IFSPs and IEPs and other documentation required by ISD #15 and MDE. *Attend and sometimes facilitate IFSP/IEP meetings for assigned students. *Work in a team setting to provide effective educational opportunities that will assist children and their families in achieving their individual outcomes as well as working with families to coordinate and integrate educational services, social services, health services, and parent education. *Assist Early Childhood staff in child find activities. *Model appropriate adult/child interaction. *Consult with other staff members to provide a rich learning environment -pre-k to Kindergarten. District Information: Independent School District 15 – St. Francis is located in northern Anoka County and southern Isanti County. We are a rural/suburban district, covering 165 square miles with our early childhood center, three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and one vocational/ALC center. Our school district annually educates more than 4,700 students and employs more than 800 staff members.
