JOB DESCRIPTION Job TitleDirector of Teaching and Learning Reports To:Executive Director Contract Terms: 12 month position Job Summary: The Director of Teaching and Learning provides direct support and feedback to all instructional staff using a comprehensive, strategic and proactive approach based on the effective use of data, instructional staff evaluation and coaching using research-based instructional strategies, and curriculum review processes with a focus on building a culturally relevant and engaging curriculum. The Director of Teaching and Learning supervises all aspects of curriculum and instruction using data that informs the MTSS model, and works collaboratively with all stake holders and data team members to make data-based decisions which will inform the school-wide strategic continuous improvement plan. The Director of Teaching and Learning will work in collaboration with the Executive Director to make budget and staffing projections/allocations for the maximum effective use of human and financial resources to support curriculum and instruction needs. Essential Job Functions: *Supervise, coach and evaluate all general education teachers in collaboration with other administrators, peer coaches and the Executive Director *Direct and manage the Global Data Team and the Student Support Team *Direct all professional development and PLC initiatives including an annual plan aligned with the school-wide continuous improvement plan *Develop and regularly review school-wide curriculum plans and course sequences for school-wide articulation with a lens towards equity and cultural relevance *Regularly review and direct all general education intervention and support programs *Set and manage instructional and curricular budgets, including all Title programs *Other duties as assigned by Executive Director
School Psychologist
Position begins 2017/2018 school year. Job Summary: Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations; consult with school personnel and parents regarding planning, implementing, and evaluating individual and group interventions; and function as a member of the building-based intervention team in providing appropriate services and supports to students. Responsibilities: Conferring, advising, problem-solving with individuals and groups regarding educational, behavioral, and mental health concerns relating to specific students or to systems-level (school-specific or district-wide) problems Developing prevention strategies to reduce the occurrence of problems Supporting building wide teams with implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) Participate in and conduct trainings for district staff on aspects of problem solving including data collection and positive behavioral supports Assist school staff in the identification of students with disabilities ages birth through 21 through participation in intervention activities, child study committees, and consultation activities Planning appropriate assessment and reassessment procedures for students. Administer and interpret formal and informal assessment including parents, teacher, and student interviews, observation in the classroom and other settings to support evaluation results Assist school staff with due process procedures including eligibility requirements, parent rights, and record keeping.
