TITLE: Elementary Curriculum Specialist TOSA JOB GOALS: To provide training and leadership in the professional development of elementary staff. To provide leadership in curriculum review and development processes. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate professional development activities, workshops, and in-services for elementary teachers. Coordinate curriculum-related resources for grades K-5, including specialized programs such as Spanish Immersion and Gifted and Talented education. Work in collaboration with building principals and site staff development teams to implement building staff development plans. Facilitate and/or co-facilitate District Staff Development Committee. Serve as resource support for staff by engaging in continuous professional growth. Communicate Professional Development opportunities to the staff and the public. Design and deliver training for District Teacher Induction Program. Support probationary teachers through facilitation of training sessions. Utilize assessment data for diagnostic and intervention purposes as well as for program evaluation. Support ongoing development of content area literacy for grades K-5. Other duties as assigned.
