The special education teacher will be responsible for: – attending the building child study meetings -providing support to staff, students, and parents – providing direct instruction to students in academics, social skills, and specific IEP goals – conduct evaluations for students on case load – lead team meetings to develop the IEP – keeping data on student progress – collaborate with other staff, families, and outside agencies – maintain the IEP and due process documents – ensuring due process procedures are followed POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED

District Nurse

The school nurse will travel between the three buildings in the district: SUN (Northfield), STEP (Faribault), and Alex (Faribault). The school nurse will be responsible for: – coordinating the implementation and review of school health services, policies, and procedures – provides first aid for illnesses and injuries of students and staff – communicate with case managers, families, and outside agencies – distribute daily medication to students and train staff in dispensing medications – ensure security of medication – consult with staff on medical support for students – maintain health offices and first aid kits for programs with supplies – maintain immunization and medical records for students – ensure compliance with mandates related to health services in the schools – maintain records related to health services in the schools POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED
