The Director of Special Services will be responsible for directing, developing, and providing ongoing leadership, coordination, and supervision of the district’s Special Education services, within established policies and directives of the STMA District and its Special Education Cooperative and any Federal or State applicable laws. Programming responsibilities include special education, Section 504, School Health Services, and School Social Work.

This position serves as line officer between Superintendent and building staff. Leads and manages all programs, services, staff, and students in the school. Responsible to make decisions that promote effective staff work, understanding of student needs, quality curriculum and learner outcomes, and use of best teaching practices to improve learning.
Special Education LD / EBD Teacher
Teacher will provide instruction in a separate site school for a Care and Treatment facility. Teacher is responsible for delivery of instruction in the core academic areas (Math, English, Science, Social, Health). Teacher will provide communication between PORT staff and ISD 181 schools PORT students attend. Teacher will be required to maintain all due process paperwork for special education students.
