Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment:  Compensation will be determined by District 112 and the Chaska Education Association (CEA).

POSITION OVERVIEW

MAWSECO is seeking a dedicated General/Special Education Teacher to serve students at the Wings Alternative Program. In this role, you will plan, develop, and implement individualized learning plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies for students with special needs. You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment, delivering tailored instruction and adapting curriculum to meet the unique needs of adolescents in a residential recovery facility.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering educational instruction consistent with Cooperative objectives.
  • Ensuring due process timelines are met for all student records and evaluations.
  • Collaborating with parents, case managers, and interagency staff to formulate comprehensive programs.
  • Performing crisis intervention and utilizing proper restrictive procedures when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education.
Licensure: Current State of Minnesota Teacher License in Special Education (e.g., EBD, LD, ASD, DD, or ABS).
Requirements: Valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
Preferred Experience: Previous teaching experience and experience working with individuals with disabilities. EBD background preferred.
Preferred Training: Experience and/or training in behavior management.
Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and a solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.

The Wings Alternative Program in Litchfield, MN is located within the WINGS Adolescent Recovery Services residential treatment facility. The program serves male and female adolescents ages 14 years and older from across Minnesota. MAWSECO staff members provide vital educational services to students while they are residing at the facility, ensuring they continue their academic journey in a flexible and safe environment.

The Eden Prairie School District is seeking applicants for Associate Principal of Eden Prairie High School (EPHS).  EPHS has a staff of 350 that serves approximately 3,000 students. The ideal leader will work with the principal to provide instructional and cultural leadership for a school including staff and student supervision and curriculum development focused on the success of each student. and will possess above average interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population among our students, parents and community.
