Under the direction of the Director of Secondary Teaching & Learning, the Secondary Teaching & Learning Coordinator will provide leadership and support in developing, implementing, monitoring, and sustaining the grades 6-12 curriculum, instruction, and assessment activities to execute the District Strategic Plan. Duties include coordinating and the leadership of the standards-based review process set forth by the state of Minnesota, achievement data and analysis, continued development and implementation of college and career readiness, and professional development. The Secondary Teaching & Learning Coordinator will partner and work closely with the Director of Secondary Teaching & Learning and the other Secondary Teaching & Learning Coordinators to establish guidelines and criteria for curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

Owatonna Online 4-12 Special Education (ABS) Teacher
Position Summary:
Ensure high levels of student learning through engaging, high quality virtual teaching. Educator is innovative and serves as a facilitator to students’ learning. Educator will collaborate with colleagues, families, and all stakeholders to provide support virtually for students enrolled in the districts online school, Owatonna Online. Educator is able to build strong partnerships with adults supporting student learning, and responsive to student needs academically, socially, and emotionally. Educator will be a learner, problem solver, and engage in on-site professional development. Educator will provide IEP services for students and will be responsible for paperwork associated with case management.
Our online teachers can work remotely. There are a handful of dates that they are required to report (Workshop and staff development days) throughout the year.
Qualifications:
Valid MN K-12 Special Education Teaching license is required. ABS license preferred.
An Ideal candidate will have a solid background in equity, technology, and ensuring all students learn at high levels. Bi-lingual skills in Spanish or Somali desired. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications:
Valid MN Elementary Teaching license. K-12 Special education license desired, ABS or SLD. Demonstrated use of 21st Century strategies and approaches to ensure all learners achieve the highest levels. Positive behavior intervention supports and MTSS preferred. Experience in utilizing an inquiry approach to instruction across all content areas and a background in STEM and Everyday Math beneficial.
Responsibilities:
A special education teacher will work in one of several special education licensure areas. The duties of each of these positions may vary. The essential functions of these positions include, but are not limited to the following fundamental duties.Provide instruction in the core curriculum and special education area(s) for which employed; make appropriate use of instructional resources and technologies.
Develop and implement innovative methods for providing instruction to special education students.
Maintain a suitable instructional environment for special education students according to their needs; ensure that equipment is modified, and materials adapted as necessary.
Participate with other special education staff as appropriate to evaluate the special education needs of a student and to develop an Individual Education Plan (IEP) to meet the student’s needs; implement these plans in accordance with special education state and federal legal requirements and district practice.
Maintain student records and ensure that they are in compliance with due process requirements.
Support the Minnesota Learning Standards; implement the goals and objectives of the District and the school and/or program to which assigned.
Evaluate special education student performance in accordance with the system used by the school and/or District; promote student achievement; ensure that progress is being made toward IEP goals and objectives; make related reports to parents, the principal and/or Special Education administration as prescribed or authorized.
Maintain contact and communications with parents of special education students and work with them in the academic development of the student and to meet the objectives of the IEP or IFSP; participate in parent teacher conferences.

Provide indirect services to special education students in the special education category for which employed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The School Psychologist is responsible for conducting diagnostic assessments and evaluations to determine special education eligibility and collaborates with all key individuals to determine eligibility and level of service need. The School psychologist provides direct and/or indirect support and interventions to students, consults with teachers, families, and other school-employed professionals to improve support strategies, works with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies, and collaborates with community providers to coordinate needed services. Through their work, school psychologists help MAWSECO member districts successfully implement a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework in order to: improve academic achievement, promote positive behavior and mental health, support diverse learners, create safe, positive school climates, strengthen family-school partnerships, improve school-wide assessment and accountability, and monitor individual student progress in academics and behavior.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Purpose of Position: The Director of Student Activities is responsible for the administration and supervision of all DeLaSalle High School sanctioned athletic programs, athletic camps, fine arts programs, school clubs and activities.

Representative Responsibilities:

- Maintains all Activities Department personnel records including: annual CPR & AED certification; validation of licenses/certificates; accident & violation records and reports; professional coaching certifications/endorsements; safe and secure environment training and certification, and all other departmental documentation;
- Plan and seasonally conduct orientations, workshops or other professional development opportunities for all Activities Department staff with special emphasis on program head coaches/moderators.
- Provide leadership to and management of all Activities Department staff. Especially in the areas of professional improvement and development for the school’s coaches and moderators in assessing programs annually with a continuous improvement mindset by identifying program strengths, opportunities for improvement and by establishing goals for future program performance.
- Oversight and management of the Activity Department budget through continuous monitoring, review and analysis of all department expenditures and revenues.
- Proactively plan and engage supervisor in budget planning and review, as well as engagement with program coaches/moderators with special emphasis on continuous evaluation of the effectiveness and value of funding spent on Activity operations.
- Additional oversight emphasis on salary, contracted service and ensuring the timely submission of records/forms/disbursements related to all Activities related operations.
- Proactive and responsive management of activity program agency accounts including collaboration with school’s Advancement & Operations teams relating to all activity fundraising and revenue generation through sponsorship partnerships.
- Responsible for ensuring the successful execution of all co-curricular activities within the organization, including:
- Scheduling and planning for all athletic, fine art and activity based programming with regards to contest/matches/events, transportation coordination, equipment and supply procurement, and coordination and successful use of facilities.
- Adherence to and enforcement of all governing body rules, by-laws and school policies and practices for all activity programs and participants. Maintain and advise improvements to school’s emergency response policies/procedures related to activities.
- Management and supervision of all student body government activities i.e. Homecoming, Winterfest, pep fests, dances, blood drives and all community building events.
- Secure, schedule and otherwise provide for all Activities Department programming both on school owned property and at third-party owned locations. i.e. secure use permits, rental contracts, certificates of insurance, etc.
- Provide for successful game/event management, in part by: ensuring the successful delivery of concession operations, providing outstanding support to event staff, volunteers and officials; serve as the school’s representation to guests; and provide for the resolution of any customer service related matters.
- Collaborate with the Communications Department to ensure the Activities section of the school website, as well as school communication portals such as Canvas and Remind, are being used properly and effectively.
- Provide training to coaches on effective and appropriate use of school communication resources.
- Represent the school and serve to advance its interests by serving as an active member in the school’s conference affiliation (Tri-Metro), the Minnesota State High School League, Region 6AA and the state’s Athletic Director’s organization.
- Proactively provide guidance, advice and analysis to Supervisor and other school leadership on current and future co-curricular programming needs and trends. Serve to benefit the school’s strategic needs and evaluation of future activity and athletic programming possibilities.
- Partner with the school’s Admissions Team on to ensure successful execution of Admission events and their related Activities Department functions, including, but not limited to: oversight and facilitation of Activity Fair, presentation at Open Houses, and support for secondary school Admission events.
- Encourage community participation in all Activities Department events.
