Full-time (12 month) Director of Community Education position beginning July 1, 2016. The Community Education Director is responsible for general supervision and leadership in the operation of all Community Education programs and activities in a manner which will ensure and achieve optimum educational and personal development of all participant age groups consistent with district objectives. This position requires strong organizational and communications skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a diverse set of programs. Specific areas of leadership for this position include, but are not limited to: preparation and monitoring of program budgets, including categorical funding; knowledge and interpretation of laws and regulations particular to the programs; organizing, coordinating, and long- term program development and advertising; facilities use planning and scheduling; leadership and monitoring of programs for: adult enrichment, pool operation, youth activities, school-age and preschool child care programs; developing and maintaining relationships with outside groups with complementary focus; participates on Superintendent’s district leadership team; in conjunction with Director of Teaching and Learning, provides guidance for the early childhood education programs.
