Provide direct coaching and professional development support for teachers and other specialists resulting in the continual growth and improvement of instructional/professional practices in the district. Provide leadership in the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the Minnetonka Community Education Programs: Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE), Minnetonka School Readiness, Minnetonka birth-5 outreach programs, Home Visitor programs, ECFE summer school, MCEC child care, Early Childhood Screening, Child Family & Support Program (CFSP), and Minnetonka Preschool. Serve on the MCE Leadership Team, the MCEC Leadership Team, the District Admin. Council. Supervise, train, and evaluate all licensed and non-licensed staff in these programs. Manage program budgets and financial expenditures. This position may also include some teaching in the classroom.
Special Teacher-Intermittent (Substitue Teacher)
The Minnesota Department of Corrections has an opening for a Substitute Teacher at the Minnesota Correctional Facility-Shakopee. WORK SCHEDULE: This position will be on-call Monday through Friday as needed. Job duties include but are not limited to: -Provide appropriate and effective classroom instruction in an individualized manner to offenders as an intermittent substitute teacher, including maintaining Personal Education Plans (PEP) for each student. -Maintain a well-managed, comprehensive instructional environment. -Perform all classroom administrative functions in a timely manner for accountability purposes. -Manage special projects for the Education Department. This position is located in a correctional facility and will have direct offender contact. Compensation for the successful candidate will be commensurate with the level of education attained and number of years of prior teaching experience approved at the time of hire.
