K-3 Reading Teachers Mankato Area Public Schools has positions available for K-3 Reading Teachers for the 2016-17 school year. Teacher will be responsible for implementing intervention programs with students working on specific, targeted literacy skills.Important to this position will be the ongoing assessment of students who are receiving the additional literacy intervention as well as continuous collaboration with classroom teachers, special education staff, EL and the Literacy Coordinator. A valid Minnesota elementary teaching license is required; K-12 reading license preferred. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts Teaching degree in Health and Physical Education. Seniors in a teacher education program who will complete all requirements for a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Teaching degree, complete all required testing, and obtain appropriate Minnesota teacher licensure by August, 2016, or recent teacher education graduates (who have not held regular teaching appointments) are eligible to apply.
