Job Description: 1.0 FTE EL Teacher at Faribault High School, 5 positions for the 2025-2026 school year. These positions will teach a few self-contained EL language development classes in reading, writing and grammar. They will also be expected to assist upper level EL students with vocabulary development in content areas team teaching in Intermediate Algebra and Geometry.

Licensure: State of Minnesota ESL licensed teacher. Alternatively, if you wish to pursue EL teaching with a different teaching license, an Out-of-Field permission will be requested on your behalf, or if you have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from a college or university and are interested in exploring teaching as a career, we are happy to discuss options to help you obtain a teaching license qualifying you to become a teacher and start a new rewarding career.

  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team in planning and teaching, emphasizing differentiated instruction and effective use of assessments.

Physical Education Teacher – Middle School

Principal of Secondary Programs (Alternative Learning and Career/Tech Programs)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The secondary principal leads alternative learning and career and technical education programs for Intermediate School District 917 focused on implementation of the district’s core values. In this role the administrator focuses on leading, modeling, and encouraging staff and students to live into the core values. Of particular focus in site level leadership are the core values of communication, innovation, collaboration, integrity, and personalization. The leader directs the implementation of educational programming, including academic as well as social/emotional learning, oversees staff and students, and ensures district as well as state and federal policy and procedures are followed. The principal plays a vital role in providing leadership to create and sustain an environment that is focused on stewardship, equity, and diversity.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership focused on collaboration with DCTC and community partners including member districts as well as amplifying student voice and engaging parents and families.
  • Providing overall direction of the program personnel and students for daily operations.
  • Guide continuous improvement of programs by utilizing data to inform programming decisions based on multi-tiered systems of support to plan for staff and student success.
  • Facilitate activities for student learning and staff professional development.
  • Provide supervision, evaluation, and support for staff, including recruitment and retention.
  • Act as the primary liaison between sites, other district programs, member district staff, students, and families.
  • Consult, communicate, and work cooperatively with teams to provide appropriate programming for students and maintain a positive environment, including facilitation of a variety of meetings.
  • Proven experience implementing and facilitating career and technical education including Perkins Career and
  • Technical Education grant and programming that includes leveraging relationships with industry, member districts, and higher education.
  • Comply with School Board policies and administrative practices, including those procedures outlined in the staff culture guide and student handbook.
  • Develop and maintain budgets.
  • Provide physical site management to maintain safety of all students, staff, and the environment.
  • Use flexible thinking and adaptability to address student needs and respond with composure in crisis, when necessary.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Family and Consumer Science Teacher

Academic Learning Specialist
