Principal – Elk River High School
High School Spanish Teacher
Position is 1.0 FTE for the remainder of the 23-24 School Year, approximate start of April 2024, through June 7, 2024. This position is part of the teacher bargaining unit and based at the High School. Salary and benefits part of Master Agreement
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a valid MN Spanish License or able to obtain the appropriate license from PELSB, Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.
Qualifications:
- Experience in school setting and/or previous experience working with secondary level students
- Fluent in Spanish, both orally and written
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with colleagues, community and students
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents and staff
Responsibilities:
- Identify the needs of students through formal and informal assessments
- Plan, develop and implement appropriate lessons to ensure the achievement of student growth
- Communicate with students, parents and staff on regular basis on student progress
- Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies
- Update all necessary records accurately as required by laws, district policies and school regulations
- Attend department, school and parent meetings or functions
- Other job-related duties as assigned

Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk
This is a job level 4 ($20.10-$20.47), 8 hours per day (7:30 am – 4:00 pm) twelve-month position within the District Business Office. This position will begin as soon as possible. The person in this position is responsible for accumulating and processing information and documentation needed to pay outstanding District bills, and invoice and maintain District accounts receivable.

MTSS/Literacy Coach

Qualifications:
- Must hold appropriate Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education, Reading, or Communication Arts and Literature
- Classroom teaching experience of 7+ years preferred
- Exemplary literacy background and strong knowledge of how children learn to read
- Training in LETRS or other Science of Reading background preferred
- Ability to work in a team
Responsibilities:
- Supports implementation of the READ Act
- Supports implementation of structured literacy, interventions, and curriculum delivery
- Supports Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) model of differentiated instruction and tiered intervention processes.
- Assists with the development of personal learning plans, progress monitoring and assessment
- Participates in grade level collaborative team meetings
- Collaborate with reading intervention teachers
- Assists teachers in reflecting on effective literacy teaching practice
- Trains support staff in literacy interventions
- Serves on leadership team and school committees that focus on literacy and student achievement

Job summary: Assist the special education teacher in the operation and function of the classroom, and to work with individual or small groups of students as directed by and under the supervision of the special education teacher. Specifically this position will work with students in the Connect Program to implement daily interventions and assistance as planned by licensed staff. This position will primarily work in our Connect program with ASD students.
Responsibilities and tasks include:
Assist in the implementation of the students’ special education instructional plan(s) including physical and behavioral management. Specific duties are assigned by the supervising teacher based on students’ special needs.
Assist in the implementation and follow through of the students’ individual plans in all settings in which the program is delivered and as assigned by the supervising teacher.
Collect observational data about assigned student(s) in various school settings and report to supervising teacher.
Assist in the preparation, collection and maintenance of educational materials and equipment.
Assist staffings, conferences and any other special meetings as requested by supervising teacher.
Complete educational forms, reports and other student related data relevant to the individual student(s) in the special education program as directed by the special education teacher.
Any other duties deemed necessary by the team and approved by the Special Education Coordinator Special Education Supervisor.
Minimum qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Persons employed shall have the skills needed to perform tasks and work with children, staff and parents. Must have physical capability to lift and attend to physical needs of students as required.
Participation in district training program prior to and during employment.
