CHILD CARE POSITIONS
Caledonia Area Public Schools is looking for a full-time toddler teacher, and a full-time toddler assistant teacher for our child care center, CAPS Care. All positions must be able to pass a criminal background check and complete pediatric CPR/First Aid certification. Discount on child care for CAPS Care staff members. Benefits if working more than 30 hours per week. Benefits include health, life, and long-term disability.
Teacher requirements:
● Must be at least 18 years of age.
● An Associate’s degree in childhood development required or Bachelor’s degree in a related field, AND
● 1,560 hours as an assistant teacher, aide or student intern or other licensing requirements, AND
● Minimum of six quarter credits in Child Development classes or other licensing requirements.
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in a child care setting, preferred.
● Hourly pay range: $15.75-$20.01 depending on experience.
Assistant Teacher requirements:
● Must be at least 18 years of age.
● Associate’s degree in child development, preferred, OR
● High school diploma required, 2,080 hours as an aide or student intern, and 12 quarter hours of Child Development classes.
● Minimum 2 years experience working in a childcare setting, preferred.
● Hourly pay range: $15.03-$18.79 depending on experience.
These are twelve-month positions.
